So I guess I can tell you now that I recently began doing some community development work for +Social Media Examiner , specifically for their networking clubs. 

If you're not familiar, the networking clubs are forums where people can discuss business/social media related topics with other professionals without worrying about spam or sillyness. 

I'm having such a good time, I was given my own club to lead today. It's the WaterCooler which features topics that don't necessarily fit in other clubs and allows for more off topic conversation.

I hope you'll join us all at the Networking Clubs.

After working both sides of the fence, I definitely prefer the security of a full time, steady job. I enjoy the flexibility and variety that comes with freelancing but there's something to be said about receiving a steady check, benefits, and being able to leave the job at 5:00.

Sometimes I hope Google+ never catches on like Facebook. But that's only because I'm good with not seeing giant inspirational quotes and Candy Crush updates all along my feed. It's so clean and quiet here. Kind of like the beach only the locals go to.

So I've been making a point of getting out of the house every day either to work at a coffee shop, take tennis lessons, run errands or go for a walk. It's both for my sanity and my health (to make me more active and keep me away from the fridge).  I find it makes me more focused and productive when I'm working (at home) to get out of the house for at least an hour or two a day.

Do you get out of the house as much as you should?

I have mixed feelings about it as I'm not sure the person who creates a list should include his own blogs as well as blogs he regularly guest blogs on. And I'm not a fan of using Google and Alexa rankings. I don't want to know what the most popular blogs are, I want to know what the most valuable blogs are.

When I was 6 or 7 years old there was no Downton Abbey, but there was Upstairs Downstairs. I wasn't much into Masterpiece Theater on Sunday nights (and I usually was asleep at 9:00 when it was on) but my brothers and sisters and I made it a point to try and stay up late to watch Upstairs Downstairs with my parents.  Anyway, if you're a Downton fan, you may enjoy the original which is available for streaming on Netflix.
