Have you grabbed your 1TB yet?

To be honest i haven't logged in to Flickr for a long time, but with 1TB of storage up for grabs who wouldn't jump at that. I wont be using it publicly just as cloud storage for all my photo including the family snaps.  

Hopefully there is an option for auto upload soon from mobile devices and what will Googles reaction be with the 1TB size limit.

So who else signed back in today??

Wahkeena Falls
Columbia River Gorge, Oregon

Here's a shot of Wahkeena Falls from a very recent trip down to northwest Oregon and southwest Washington to visit the Columbia River Gorge for a few days. This was near the end of a very full day of hiking through the gorge (easily 8 hours worth), and it was nice to pause, rest my legs, and spend quality time with these falls.

Shot Details: Canon EOS 5D Mark III, Canon EF 16-35mm f/2.8L II USM, +Really Right Stuff TVC-23 and BH-40, +f-stop Guru bag, B+W Circular Polarizer, RAW, ISO 100, 35 mm, f/5.6, 1 sec.

The clouds ruined my previous composition so I had to adjust midway through this eruption of color, which is rarely a good thing to do.  But it's also not good to blow an awesome sunset on a bad composition.  You have to know when to change it up if necessary.  You can check me out in action on my second cam shot here: http://smu.gs/Z1NJsu

Yesterday camera Trade was announced to the world on +That Show with Billy Wilson (TSBW). My partner on this project +Ashlan Nathens and i have been working hard to get this idea of a website that photographers can come and trade camera gear to a worldwide audience, 100% FREE.

A Circle Share
Circle sharing by individuals seems to passé these days, and most shares are curated circles put together on some general basis by a few. That suits me fine because I am not fashionable and pretty faded! :)
This circle is not one which contains all my best friends here or all the folks whose photography I really admire. It contains members who are my engagement set. People who follow my posts and people whose posts appear on my stream on a regular basis. Part of the selection has to do with Gplus's stream feed algorithm and part of it has to do with time zones. But these 200 are part of my life on GPlus now and I meet them virtually almost everyday.
I am sharing this list mainly for the benefit of my new followers who are looking for worthwhile additions to their circles. I expect that they will not be disappointed by the selection.

I will never forget my trip to the Bay area simply because of the wonderful people I met there. Such warm, friendly and amazing people! I took this one in Drakes Beach just after sunset. +Swee Oh , +Larry Nienkark , +Leo Deegan , +Todd Draper , +Guillaume Desachy , +Christopher Bradley , +Justin Spelbrink  +Richard Saasta  and a bunch of others shot for nearly 3 hours or more here. It was a great evening where I got to learn a lot as well :)

Barker Dam reservoir is an unexpected spot in the otherwise desert-covered Joshua Tree National Park. The reservoir is surrounded by interesting rock formations. For good reflections you need calm air, and the water to be in the shade, both conditions present at sunrise.
