As a follow up to my last post (goo.gl/z2m6R), here's my CSS hack for enhancing the highlighting of posts when browsing via keyboard shortcuts. It works for single as well as multi column layout although looks better in the first one.

If you wanna give it a go get either Stylish (goo.gl/RKjK5) or Stylebot (goo.gl/hTxba) and add the CSS data available via the link below.

I've also added some color coding:
○ grey = posts
○ green = share box
○ blue = general info boxes

There's also at least one bug:
○ when focusing the first posting on a profile page, G+ scrolls automatically to the top revealing  the profile banner instead.

Enable the Single-Column Layout for Profiles and Communities

1. Go to Google+ Settings and scroll all the way down until you see the Accessibility category.
2. Check the box that reads "Change the presentation of some pages to work better with screen readers and other accessibility tools".

While reviewing some old raw files near the end of 2012, I went back to some Death Valley photographs made during the past few years. I came upon this photograph that I had more or less forgotten. I wonder if at the time I was distracted by other photographs that appealed to me more, or if I perhaps just wasn’t sure how to treat it at the time. Version 1.61 of +Replies and More is now in the Chrome webstore. It automatically expands long posts, and fixes a few small layout issues with the new Google+ design.

Replies and more adds "Reply" and "Reply to Author" links to posts, badges the Google+ icon with the notification count, lets you mute posts with the 'M' key, auto-expands posts and many more features. Install it here:

I'm noticing some layout problems in the new Google+ layout on different pages:
Hit pagedown one or more times, and subsequently pageup.
=> the title bar is floating over the other page items, about 1 cm to low.
Anyone else?

Ring Road (Route 1)

This is a part of the Route 1 or also called Ring Road in Iceland. It is 1.339km long and connects the most popular parts of the country. Although it is the main road in Iceland it still has some parts with an unpaved gravel surface. In combination with blind curves, blind hills, one lane bridges and narrow passes it is an real adventure to drive this road through the gorgeous landscapes of Iceland.

The Kilauea Iki trail is one of my favorite trails on the entire Big Island. It starts in the rain forest. You go suddenly from the ancient forest to the newly created maw of the crater floor, where just a few plants cling to life. The contrast couldn’t be more dramatic.

If you've joined Google+, you can quickly find the exact date. Go to Google Takeout (https://www.google.com/takeout/), click "Transfer your Google+ connections to another account" (don't worry, you don't have to do that), enter your password and you can see the date when you've created your Gmail account in the blue box at the bottom of the page.
