I'll never...
...get tired of processing images from 'that morning' at Cape Solander :)

Clear Skies
Recently I've seen a couple of early morning images from this location with clear skies. With no clouds around this morning I headed to Kirribilli to have a go at grabbing something similar. I think it turned out ok. A 5 image pano stitched and processed in CS6 and LR.

Beyond 10000
This week, the people who have me circled slowly ticked over the 10000 mark. Thanks to everyone who follows my work and who regularly provide such nice feedback and comments. It is greatly appreciated.
To celebrate, this is my current favourite image. Taken at Cape Solander last weekend, it was a sunrise to die for (figuratively speaking) and one I'll remember for a long time :)

Weeping Rock - Leura Cascades
In recent weeks I have been exploring b/w processing of some falls images from earlier this year. This is the last of them. The colour version for comparison is here http://goo.gl/3ybf9

Red Dawn
Another from the amazing sunrise I witnessed yesterday. This is pre-sunrise and the colours pretty much speak for themselves. If I never saw these types of reds at sunrise again, I'd die a happy man :)

OMG
This morning in Sydney we had one of the most amazing sunrises I've ever seen and needless to say there will be a few more images from the shoot to share in the coming weeks. We had the most amazing reds before dawn, golden skies at sunrise and amazing clouds and tones for a good 90 minutes afterwards. They'll keep me amused for days :)
It's times like this morning that make me wonder how often we really get sunrises like this. General consensus amongst my shooting buddies is once every 3 months or so (if you're lucky enough to catch it). What do you think?

Weeping Rock
A rethink of a previous image http://goo.gl/Apf2V which I felt was a little to warm and garish. This is softer, cooler and the colours more natural... :)

Green Patch
Not your typical image looking out at Jervis Bay from this location. This was one of my wettest shoots in a while but when you've gone away for a photography weekend you just have to get out there. A few minutes after this image I was clobbered by that no de-script grey mass, top right of this photo :)

At the going down of the sun
I thought this was probably an appropriate day to share this album. For the last 2 years I've been fortunate to live in an apartment that faces to the west. I've seen some amazing Sydney sunsets in that time and lately have taken to grabbing some 5-7 image panos of what takes place. I hope to add to these over time :)

A rework of a previous image which like the other rework this week, benefits from a rethink (I hope) http://goo.gl/dg7c2 The greens in this little location were quite amazing and I hope by cooling it down it does them more justice.
I'm off on a south coast odyssey this weekend so hopefully much to share next week. See you then :)

Terrace Falls - Hazelbrook, NSW
I've previously shared another frame of this scene but felt it was a little garish and the light not quite right. I'm happier with this effort in regard to overall light/highlights and the subtle colour more closely reflects the conditions that morning :)

Hornby Lighthouse
Surprisingly I've never visited this iconic location before. I've stood on the rocks below but not up on the cliff top for this well known comp. I still feel a bit giddy from standing on the rock ledge in the near dark but it was worth the effort :)

With some new processing skills under my belt I've been revisiting some old images to see if they can be improved. I quite like how this one has turned out :)

Planet Ballaarat
Recently I wondered if it was possible to make images similar to those produced by the Tiny Planet ipad app with Photoshop. As it turns out you can :)

Shearer's
I quickly nabbed this at Woy Woy a week or so ago while visiting for a family birthday. I've tried a few times to really nail this spot without much luck. This is getting closer but it was quite messy to stitch.
As for the on-going creative malaise this might be it with original images for a bit until a trip I have planned next month to Jervis Bay. Surely the white beaches down there will snap me out of it :))

Where to next?
Recently I've been in a malaise with my photography. In need of a new creative angle I deleted all my images and declared a new approach with mobile images only for this profile. This it seems is not the entire solution so while I ponder the situation some more I've decided to choose some older images that could benefit from some new processing skills I've developed in recent months. This album is mainly a place keeper and cross-reference for comparison of these older images to the new efforts/versions to come :)

A Change of Direction
Recently I've been a bit of predicament with my photography. Essentially I'm a bit bored and in need of something new. So in rethinking my G+ profile I've decided to go a bit +Michael Sutton and focus primarily on images taken and hopefully processed on mobile devices such as my phone or tablet.
So to begin here's my favourite mobile image of Long Reef. I must admit to post processing this in PS but future postings from my HTC One will be processed with apps on the device like Snapseed :)
