PHOTOGRAPHERS MUST READ THIS
#EERB   #STOPTEERB
I am appalled and horrified that this has been passed by the U.K. It affect the whole World. People like myself, +Trey Ratcliff & +Thomas Hawk  who HATE watermarks will have to really think hard about adding them now.
I have always ensured that the IPTC is set in my images, but I have noted that it has been stripped when images have appeared elsewhere.. which makes it useless against this
I don't know what we can do to stop this....

Share this & get the word out!

Okay, this is a message to +Wil Wheaton and +John Rogers about their game of Fiasco as seen on #TableTop - y'all did not fully convey just how evil the Aftermath table is.

I recently got the game and like I do with most of my new games, I did a mock game by myself to understand the rules more thoroughly. I used the Ice playset in the book. Had a really cool story going with a mad scientist, an environmentalist extremist, and two former lovers on the verge of putting their differences in the past behind them. The tilt had collateral damage and a timely death. The first was easily done - had the mad scientist through something at her rival and hit his former girlfriend instead, when she found out he was promoted to the position of her boss.

The second tilt element was one I knew from about the third scene in the first act that I wanted. At first, I was going to have the... more »

It's interesting to see the one of the factors that can decrease a conduct disorder from becoming an antisocial disorder is having the juvenile being prosecuted for their crimes.

Finally! I can announce that Season Two of Tabletop will premiere on April fourth! I’ve wanted to talk about this for months, but I couldn’t, because of reasons.

But now we can talk about it, so…

We have some amazing guests this season, including Jeri Ryan, Seth Green, Bobak Ferdosi, Ashley Clements, Patrick Rothfuss, and my son, Ryan Wheaton.

We have some amazing games this season, including Smash Up, Star Trek Catan, Shadows Over Camelot, Lords of Waterdeep, and The Resistance!

Appearing as a guest at a big convention like MegaCon is a lot of fun, but it’s also exhausting. People always ask me if my arm or hand or wrist is tired near the end of a long day of signing, and I always tell them the truth: my body never gets tired; it’s my brain that is exhausted. Signing is so much more than, well, signing. It’s listening and engaging and sharing moments and meeting hundreds of people in a relatively short amount of time, doing my best to not rush people while understanding that the person in front of me and the person still waiting behind them may have been in that line for over an hour. It’s drawing out shy kids who are excited to meet me, but don’t know what to say. It’s handling people who can be a little strange — if harmless — who may not know when it’s really time for them to move on. It’s telling someone that I’m sorry, but I can’t sign that thing, or Ican’t pose for that pic... more »

I sometimes think people do more harm than good when they do knee-jerk sympathy.

Last week, my mother died from multiple strokes. Our family had to make the decision not to continue life-saving measures when her pupils became fixed and dialated. I do not regret this decision. There were others signs that her body was shutting down.

Right before my mother died, an older friend of mine had her stepmother go into the hospital because of a massive stroke. Yesterday, her family had to make the same decision my family had too make. Today, she posted a status about her stepmother's condition. Even though she had been posting statuses for over a week, someone was inconsiderate enough to write the comment "I'll pray for her recovery."

Way to make the family feel worse, person trying to appear compassionate. Your prayers for recovery are about a week late.

Well, Mom's memorial service was tonight.  My sister gave a very entertaining eulogy, but one that was quite appropriate.  I believe her husband video taped it for her children, who couldn't be there.  I suggested that he upload it to Youtube, but we'll have to see if he takes my suggestion.

In other news, my laptop's hard drive appears to have also died.  I'm on my daughter's computer right this moment.

VENUS' TAIL

Scientists with the European Space Agency(ESA) have discovered that Venus sometimes has a tendency to look more like a comet and less like a planet.

Scientists have discovered that part of the upper atmosphere of the planet(its ionosphere) surprisingly changes behavior depending on the daily changes in the sun's weather. Its comet like features is due to the side of Venus' ionosphere - that faces away from the sun - can billow outwards, while the other side(facing the sun) remains tightly compacted, much like a comet.

Using ESA's Venus Express spacecraft, scientists were able to observe the planet's ionosphere balloon outwards on its 'night-side' as solar wind hit the opposite side of Venus, producing a shape that resembles the ion tail seen streaming from a comet under similar conditions. It does take 30 to 60 minutes for Venus'... more »
