I let the leader of the crew of crows wish  you a good sentimental Sunday
He is part of the series dark thoughts and tender colors but also reminds me a nice if dirty souvenir. My daughter Marie had rescued a young and wounded crow. 

I don't describe you the mess in her bedroom after a few days. Hopefully a friend leaving in a housing estate set in a wood adopted the animal. After a few weeks of care, the crow was fit enough to fly.

Here's the entry in my journal of May 27

I exhausted myself morally last week toiling over dark thoughts and bright colors and dark thoughts and tender colors.

I needed a pictorial break this Monday. I went to see Mathurin Méheut at musée de la marine. Disappointed in good! I feared “folklore”. Some things really pleased me. And I have ben moved by the war etchings. I loved the letters and their mix of words and images.
Then I went to palais de Tokyo to see the Chanel numéro 5 exhibition. Dada decidedly! I have been able to show off a bit explaining to a disconcerted visitor that yes the woman in a Man Ray’s photo was Marcel Duchamp. Following Keith Haring

For Mother's Day, I asked my husband and my sons to  give me a small painting accessory of their choice. I got a bright red oil pastel, a Japanese watercolor brush with a tanks (a size I did not posses), a sketchbook A3 and Italian red pigment. I also received a book, but I had explicitly asked for it, Edouard Adam,  the journey of a color merchant in Montparnasse. And I offered myself a small gift found in a street sale, the journal of Keith Haring. And I decided to imitate him. Not only by writing my journal but starting it with a variation around his words. 
So while I'm about to begin the final leg of my journey, I hope it will be fruitful I will be more and love and feel and create.

Sentimental, because that rhododendron has moved a good many times and survived a few dire situations (on a Parisian balcony, stored...). It's the shrub I planted to celebrate the birth of my second daughter Cecile, 28 years ago....

I wish you a joyful Thursday

Photo taken in Camden market. I found a few little things by young creators and François has found ti-shirts and hoodies much to his taste. Fine shopping session and all the buoyancy, colors, scents, noises, ambiancies of the place. 
We ate good pub food. François's fries were gorgeous. I had a nice fresh beer to go with it.
We've been to the market  cruising on Regent's canal and went back the same way. 
All in all a regal day.
