Been seeing this float down the stream all day but only just got around to watching it.

You've heard that phrase before, used as some sort of measure for authenticity. But the truth is, your eyes are only as good as your brain interprets the information, and even then, what you see is not always what is there.

Take for instance, your nose. Your nose is always in front of your eyes in plain view, but your brain simply chooses to ignore it - thus unless you specifically try to see it, your nose is invisible to you.

We can say something similar about how we perceive the world with the image below. You see the top part of the cube and one of the sides, which clearly are a dark grey and a white color. Now, the two sides are obscured but we have arrows to help you along.

The real question is - What color are the two sides of the cube that you cannot see?

Accompanied a friend on a drive to Sudbury and back (6 hours round trip). The prize was the Chicken on a Bun from Deluxe which makes it all worth while. This small chain has been in Sudbury long before McDonalds, and Sudbury will always be a one arch town. If you are driving through, do yourself a favor and give it a try.

Google+ 's "back to top" feature rocks. Twitter doesn't have this feature. For all other sites and services, I use the Google Chrome extension "Scroll to Top" and it works everywhere else including Twitter. It works on G+ too even though I don't need it here.

On Google+, remember you can click on the gray/black bar to shoot straight back up to the top of the page. It's static so it follows you down the page.

For everywhere else, here's the extension. It's grayed out until you hover it. Install and then set your preferences/options on the extensions page.

I spent the night arranging "I Have Nothing" on guitar and making this video. As I sang, there was so much raw emotion now, that it overtook me a few times. This is take three. I went to bed as the sun rose grey in a winter sky. With every note I am, in my own small way, singing Whitney's praises.

It's time for #finlandinyourstream again and some inside information on how I spent my youth until 17 years old:

I miss summer!

We Finns tend to gravitate towards 'summer cottages' when the weather permits. Some have nicer cottages which are warm during the wintertime and others just simple wooden shacks, usually by a lake, river, sea or any given body of water.

My father used to whisk me away every year, starting when the snows melted in April until the time we had permanent snow again in Ocober to a summer cottage 17 kilometers away from our home. For company. He took me to school when he went to work and vice versa.

So I've lived nearly half of my young and tender years in the countryside, at first without electricity or indoor toilet. Without pals or friends. No need for girl scouts as being alone most of the time with forests, axes,... more »

Somehow I managed to drop a circle last night while moving some people around, and inconveniently enough, when I went to reclaim it, I got a message that I had reached my limit to circle people for the day. You would think this limit would apply to new circles, not to existing ones. Very sorry to those who will think I have discarded them... I haven't.. I just have to wait until g+ decides I can fix it!

I'm grateful to have my computer fixed. Plussing by phone wouldn't be so bad if you could separate your circle notifications from posts. On my phone, circle notifications are not grouped, so it makes it difficult to find the notifications on your threads.
