Facebook Sponsored Posts

#Facebook's new Advertising Guidelines are making the social network a less lucrative platform for marketers.  To have more of your "likes" see a post you need to sponsor your post. But to keep your post active and not disapproved you need to follow some ridiculous guidelines. How is this suppose to be conducive to effective FB marketing?

Just recently I sponsored a post that followed all the guidelines. My image had two small logos on it - that definitely took up less than 20% of the image. They took up maybe 10% max.  _Yet, Facebook took the liberty to disapprove the sponsored ad with no explanation but a link redirecting me to their Advertising Guidelines._  How am I suppose to be an effective SoMe marketer when Facebook is making this process more and more difficult!

 Anyone else starting to realize this too?

Considering Christmas is 17 days away, I should probably start decorating the house.  I haven't even thought of what to do.  Never been one to go overboard with decorating the house for Christmas (except for when I was a child).  What should I do to keep it festive but minimal?

Website Design and Development

Anyone have a ballpark as to how much a website such as www.pfchangs.com or www.peiwei.com would cost to design and develop?

Correcting an Address on Google

One of my restaurant locations continues to have the wrong address.  I have sent Google multiple requests to get it changed. No luck each time.  

This is somewhat nerve racking as this particular location is situated in a tourist city.  Tourist typically find out our address via Google Maps. 

Anyone have any suggestions?

The wait for many Twihards ends tonight with the premier of Breaking Dawn Part II. This has been in the making for almost 4 years and whether it's for the best or for the worst it is finally coming to an end. I'm not going to lie, I have been anticipating the release of Twilight Breaking Dawn Part II.

Hot Toddy
With the cold winter months approaching, I've become a huge fan of hot toddies.  Around the holidays I will always make a patch for friends and family. Though, I've come to realize very few restaurants or bars actually sell hot toddies (unless you are in a ski town). They are such a great winter drink that I am not too sure why it's not so readily available. 

Would you buy a Hot Toddy at a restaurant or bar?

How to get a shortened Google+ URL

Just recently I noticed that both +Ford Motor Company  and +P.F. Chang's have shortened URLs that direct users to their pages. 

Is this due to the fact they are verified? Or is there a way to go about doing this for a business page that isn't very well known yet? 

Would love to hear any insight on this.

Twitter Username

Recently, I discovered that Twitter limits usernames to only 15 characters.  Why would you limit it?  Twitter should at least increase it to 20 characters. What do you think?

Google+ Local / Places

I need help trying to receive data for two of my Google Local/Place locations. All of my locations are verified but two of the locations won't provide impressions and actions - the data is blank.  Is there anyone in the Google world that can help me with this? We all know data is king, hence the urgency.  Thanks!

So many loyalty programs...how do you keep up?

Or do you even try to keep up? It seems every establishment I enter tries to encourage me to join their loyalty program.  I'm not sure I can even keep up with each and every one of them. There are some restaurants and coffee shops that do it well.  In particular PEI WEI And PF Changs come to mind.  It seems their loyalty programs are not force on you, customers tend to inquire about them themselves. And their perks are actually worth your while, they don't seem impossible to attain. 

I'm curious which loyalty program are you a fan of? And why?

Social Media Monitoring Mess

There are so many social media monitoring programs out there. But which one is truly the best one?  And, how does a company really figure out which one works best for their needs?

I'm currently in the processing of reviewing a few different social media monitoring programs. For a couple years now my go to program has been Radian6, they seem to be the most comprehensive of them all.  But recently one of the companies I am working with uses ShoutLet.  Other programs I am aware of that tend to be pretty reputable are Sprout Social, Argyle Social, etc.

In this entire mess of social media monitoring, which one really is worth the investment?

I'm back!
Can you believe it? I've been absent from Google+ for well over a month! It's been too long.  In these past few weeks I've been busy transitioning to a new job, which of course I can't wait to tell you all about.  Not to mention, I've moved to a new state (yay Colorado!).  And, I bought a house!  So, perhaps I had some good reason for being away this long.   I've missed the Google+ community!
