Hi G+ friends,

It has been a very, very long period that i was present on G+ and no no, i'm not going to leave permantly, but the main reason is that i recently moved to a fantastic house with a great garden. Still lot of work to unpack and give everything a place :-)
So, i'm still here and really hope in the near future to shoot again and follow my great, inspiring photofriends!

Trinity

As i was walking along the shore i bumped into this "human-made- bricks" and that made me thinking how in earth these bricks landed here??...
it's obvious that the red bricks come from a house or a building but why dumped on the wonderful shore?
A bit further away i saw tons of grind to reinforce the coastline. Okay, i get it, but the view was very messy, so i really hope they restore this quickly and let the nature take its freedom back again! 

I was a bit dissapointed but still i've tried to make the best of it and of course with a creative twist of the moody Sophie style, hahaha :-D

Longing for the spring to come.

It's all about rocks, i really love the forms and the reflected light, so i'll never get bored about that subject.
It's unbelievable what you can do with one rock.
I've chosen for a more non-classic compo because i love the dynamic in it.

The natural way.

That day was a very stormy, rainy day at the coast and i love that more than a pale blue sky.
Every time i shoot i had to clean my filter, so it wasn't that easy to become a good shot, but i'm very pleased that this stormy set was not bad at all, hehe.
I did go this time for a more natural look, try to experimenting with less tools and go sober. 

I love to stand there, feel the stormy breeze on my face and shout against the nature forces! :-D

Hello G+ friends,

First of all, i want to thank everyone for your support and friendship!

It's been a real rollercoaster the last weeks because of the camera problems.
I've spend a lot of time to get this camera right. The've cleaned my camera so many times and they sais to me that the camera was fixed. When i inspect my camera in the store, i've became furious and very dissapointed because there was still so many spots present on the sensor! I've raized my voice and told them the problem wasn't fixed at all! They have lied to me!! So, i give them a last chance to fix it. ( I'm not an agressive person, hehe, i'm just an assertive lady who stands up for her camera and for fairness ;-) ) 
So 2 weeks ago they finally fixed the problem! :-) 
And i've sold this camera and bought another one!

Title: When darkness falls

It's been a while sinds i posted a new work. I had seriously some problems with my camera and it's not over yet. I had huge problems with the sensor and at the moment i haven't my camera with me because they are looking now what causes the problem. I had so many dust, spots on my sensor and a normal cleening doesn't help. And it's not a few spots, but like 500 spots on my screen! so i have to retouch for hours and that isn't normal.
I never had that problem and now it's like the darkness falls over my camera.

So, sorry if i'm a bit sad and not so present on G+.

Title: Sea Biscuit

Title: The candle

Well well well, i was overlooking all my images the past years and i found this one, when i did a selfportrait set.
I remember it was an evening with lots of laughter, wine and selfhumor (of course :-D)
This was also a very interesting branch i almost never do, the girl behind the lens, but here it all started and from time to time i have to look at it not because it's me but to know where you coming from and how time, situations, people passes our by during our lifetime.
That's why this story matches with "the candle" It gives you light, warmth, cosiness, but also a feeling, present of anxiety, darkness that will swallow all the last rays of light....and for this moment i'm standing still watching, guiding "the candle"

Svartifoss closeup

Svartifoss (Black Fall) is a waterfall in Skaftafell National Park in Iceland, and is one of the most popular sights in the park. It is surrounded by dark lava columns, which gave rise to its name. 

The base of this waterfall is noteworthy for its sharp rocks. New hexagonal column sections break off faster than the falling water wears down the edges.

Title: Inner calmness

Okay, i can hear it coming: where are the bright, intense colors? Are they gone in Sophie's mind? => Answer: No, they are still in my soul and my mind, hehe

This one is personaly very special, because it represent the warmth, the peace, calmness and the rebirth of nature and humanity.

I specific used a not typically compo were all the lines are horizontal. I used one diagonal line for the 'Sophie-style', which means: breaking the rules and be creative and listen to yourself. :-D

This image was taken in the area of Etretat, France and it was disolated, no one but me, my friend and camera's...:-D

I had a great time, but like every holiday too short :-) but i will return, that's for sure! :-)

2,000 Kick Ass Photographers on Google+

This is the fourth time since joining G+ almost a year ago that I'm sharing my photographers circle.  I shared it with 500 photographers, 1,000 photographers, 1,500 photographers and now 2,000 photographers.  I have to break my circle up into four 500 photographer circles as that is the G+ limit.  Each day this week (Mon.- Thurs.) I'll share a different circle.  Today is the fourth circle and includes photographers with the last name's Ro-Z. 

A few notes about these circles.  I always get hated on when I share them by people.  Inevitably if I include 2,000 people, I will leave 50,000 people out.  This is not intentional orpersonal. ... more »

People probably would say:"Hey, that's the land of Mars" hehe, maybe but my imagination is endless and there's always a huge piece of my soul in my work, so if you can feel this energy, it is definately coming from me! :-)
Maybe the mood is to dark and a lot of people would see it in a lighter version, but than it's not me that it represent.

Title: The happy pile-moodswing

As you can see, i'm into the piles-set, haha, but they are so wonderful to work with!!
And they are very interesting if you want to improve your composition. At first sight it looks easy, they are just "piles" but the vertical and horizontal lines, the coastline, the incoming light, the mood you want to bring over and a bunch of other issues you have to observe...are all things to keep in mind.

The Tropical North

In search for the Northern light, we stumbled upon these poles at sunset. The sea regressing, the sun falling behind the horizon, leaving nothing but a very warm glow.

Title: Rhythm

Last weekend i went to the beach, not for sunbathing but to find something with rhythm. I found this piles to work with and never thought that they had so much colour on them, not only from the green algae, but some piles were painted white and some had a red tone, so this makes it even more interesting.
And it always nice to find sand with footsteps and forms and i had to do something with that, typically me! :-D

Title: Green breeze

My heart is filled with warmth of the sun, finally i would say, after all the rain and the complaining of people about the "bad weather" conditions! :-D

But now i need a fresh breeze to cool down, so why not post a cooled, stormy seascape? ;-)
