Your Cake of the Day is this fun little Minecraft cake we created recently for a little boy's birthday. It was a bit tedious cutting and placing all those 1/2" square tiles but it was fun.

We stuck a small sparkler in the top to be the fuse. I wish I'd seen it lit!

It's a little known fact that Doubting Thomas, that squeaky wheel, is your best resource for a job well done.

I learned this valuable life lesson many moons ago at Kepner Tregoe during a Project Management class and it's served me very well over the years.

I have a very dear friend named Chris. Chris is basically Negative Nellie. If you tell Chris you're going to have a coat check room at your function she's bound to reply with, "Someone will steal your coat." If you tell her you're having your event downtown she'll reply with, "Parking will suck, cost a fortune and no one will want to attend." One year when viewing a facility with an on-ramp for handicapped attendees she said, "Someone's going to fall off that and break their nose."
