hello g+ buddies
went out night shooting with the new Olympus E-M5. it is a pretty cool camera, got it so i could carry something around with me that was light unlike my Canon! it has pretty impressive high ISO low noise results. this was hand held and shot at ISO 3200. i did apply a little noise reduction, but i am very impressed with its performance. this is taken at a university precinct and WolfCub obligingly turned his head so i could get his profile at just the right moment :-)))

winter here in my part of the world, so i thought this suited the mood :-))

Magpie

The magpie's mood is never surly

Today is the Day!

The "Photographers for Good" website has launched to help our dear friend +Lee Daniels. It is the brainchild of the dynamic duo of +Barry Blanchard and +Monique Yates.

Many of you know Lee from her wonderful nature photography. Or her curation of +CATURDAY! and +Women Wednesday or from the many MANY lovely comments she sprinkles on others' works across our G+ neighborhood. For those of you who don't her, she has been a teacher and a writer as well as a passionate photographer that not only "chases magic" but often captures it in stunning art for the rest of us to look at in awe.

I am re-sharing this image, it was one of my first scrapbook uploads. I had just finished training some Aussie Terrier pups and was heading back to my car when i saw this cat sitting on the edge of the pavement. I crossed the road towards him, iPhone at the ready, and he slowly backed under this door, looked left, looked right, and then one look at me...SNAP! :-))
