+Patricia Tallman  (Lyta Alexander) has been nominated for a Shorty Award. What are the Shorty Awards? They honor the awesome social media folk that keep you entertained with their tweets, Facebook and G+ posts (I'm still working on getting her more active here on Plus, but with Studio JMS to run, she's got her hands full!)

There aren't enough good things I can say about Pat. She's funny, sarcastic, and slightly awkward (but in a good way) in that way that all us geeks are. She's edgy, flirtatious and sometimes downright NC-17. She's an amazing person, a kind and generous soul, and she loves interacting with her fans. Seriously, how many celebs can you honestly say that about?

Kathleen David, wife of comic, novel and television writer Peter David is asking fans for #help. Peter suffered a stroke while on vacation and medical bills are climbing.

Peter's writing style has influenced my own writing. And when I donated my collection of ST:TNG novels - I found I couldn't part with the ones he had written.

If I had the funds, I'd buy his entire collection this very moment, but for now, all I can do is pass along Kathleen's message and ask you to consider doing the same.

I wish Peter a speedy and complete recovery.
