New firmware update for Sony Xperia S

Sony has released new firmware update for one of the best smartphones released this year 2012, Sony Xperia S.

The new firmware version is 6.1.A.2.55 regarding about latest resources, just with small update commonly the bug fixes and system unsteadiness apart from the baseband. It is better than before.

At this time it can be enabled to root permissions even with the new update. So for all time do the standard release operations officially. Started the roll out in South east Asia City Singapore. In a few days other markets should benefit slowly.

Check the surprise Sony had during the opening weekend of Skyfall in Stockholm (Sweden). Some of the guests got out of the cinema with a brand new phones :)

It looks the same as the S, but it is a bit faster - clocked at 1.7GHz.

Reading about products and their specs it sometimes can be hard to understand all the technical terms used. Often the articles and posts don't link to any explanations.

Using Wikipedia could be the answer you have been looking for!
The Xperia S article on Wikipedia is linking to Bravia, 1080p, HDMI, NFC, DLNA and many more terms and abbreviations.

Most big products these days have articles on Wikipedia and if they don't, you can probably look up individual terms directly on Wikipedia.

NFC SmartTags on Xperia S

Have you found any good use for the NFC feature in your phone?
My favorite is using it with the NFC SmartTags bundled together with the Xperia S.
But you could do similar things with programmable NFC tags if you wanted to.

The one place I use it the most is the car. Hence I have one tag (the black one) assigned to the Car. The tag is in the car and I touch the tag with the phone whenever I go on a trip where I need to use the GPS.

The following things will happen:
>Maps are started
>I make sure Data traffic is ON (as I sometimes turn it off)
>Bluetooth ON
>Bluetooth audio connects to my Smart Wireless Headset Pro
>WiFi OFF (to save battery power)
>Sound is set to Normal
