The buildings in Budapest are so regal, grand and beautiful. Here, one of the stately buildings near the famous Chain Bridge is reflected in the glass windows of a modern hotel.

"Crazy Muthas"
It was like, 4 degrees out and a bus load of young, hot, half naked guys pulled up to the pier at Porteau Cove so that they could all jump in the frigid water. The reason for that was never determined. They must be just crazy :)
It was a fun time shooting the Howe Sound area of Vancouver with +Cameron Siguenza (so great to meet you!!), +Kate Siobhan Havercroft (you're awesome) and the famous mountain-dweller +Jordan Oram (who so kindly invited me to tag along).

I found out just in the nick of time (yes, I've been living under a rock, ok?) that +Ivan Makarov is heading another Plus One Collection book, this time benefiting the charity "Kilgoris Project". I was so honored to be part of it last year and I'm so happy to get to submit to it again!

The idea is to submit your favorite image from 2012 and I've submitted this image which is titled "101100110". I chose it because it combines my two loves: abstracts and floral.

This is my last post for #MyMobileMonday .
A year ago I started the #MyMobileMonday group to enable people who adore mobile phone photography as much as I do to connect and see the work of other people and share. It's been so fun and I've met so many awesome mobileographers and I've seen some seriously amazing work.
Some changes for me mean that I won't be able to curate the group anymore. I'll be closing the page and the community.
I was hoping that the new Communities feature would allow more interaction between people interested in specific topics, without curators having to manage it all themselves in the old hashtag system.
But, I'll still be hanging around Google+ .....you aren't rid of me completely :)
Thanks to everyone who participated in the group over this past year and a bit! This is an exciting time to be a mobile... more »

I spent an afternoon with a macro lens wandering around the greenhouses at the Dublin Botanic Gardens in Ireland this past October. It was heaven! All those flowers and plants!
Macro photography can be so engrossing because it draws you into a tiny world that you didn't even know existed before :)

This image was made in a church tower in Budapest on my Samsung Nexus S, and edited in my new favorite app #picsplay . There is a lot of control in this app. You can control the strength of filters, have one-touch viewing of before and after to see how your editing has changed the image and lots of other cool stuff. It's an AWESOME app - give it a try if you haven't yet.

Mobile photography may start moving in a different direction with the introduction of connected point & shoot cameras. Instead of a phone with a camera, these devices are cameras first, with all the connectivity and instant sharing/editing that smartphone users enjoy.
As one of the Samsung VP's said, "once the cloud computing era truly dawns, a non-connected device will be meaningless".
The soon-to-be-released Galaxy camera from Samsung is a very interesting convergence of everything that I love about mobile photography....And asks questions about the temporary nature of what we call mobile photography today.

Happy #mymobilemonday ! I shot this image in Toronto, looking up through the street car cables. Edited in Streamzoo on my Nexus S.
Due to a big schedule change for me and travelling that I'll be doing over the next month or so, #MyMobileMonday will be going on hiatus for September and will resume like normal in October. Of course, feel free to still share your mobile phone images! But I won't be able to curate the +MyMobileMonday Photography page for now.
If anyone is interested in taking over the group during this period, let me know. Otherwise I'll just put it on hold for September.
