The city of Toronto has recently garnered international attention and embarrassment when a video tape of the mayor smoking cracking was shopped around by the mayor's own crack dealer. Gawker and the Toronto Star reporters have allegedly seen the video and confirmed that the man in the video was indeed Toronto mayor, Rob Ford. Here is a video with an accurate depiction of the whole scandal, including the drive by panda shooting [/s]. The video is produced by the same people who made the 3D illustration of the whole Tiger Woods drama a few years ago. It's hilarious.

Gawker has since started an indiegogo campaign to raise money to buy the video currently being held hostage by the man who took the video. The amount required is $200 000, but I don't think they will reach their target as too many people probably have a moral issue with giving money to drug dealers to slander or expose the... more »

Today, I captured a mouse in my basement (all by myself) and had a little adventure returning him to the wild. He was a dirty and rather stupid little fella, I made lots of noise when I spotted him but he didn't seem to sense any urgency or danger, so it was easy to catch him. He was eating an earwig when I captured him and he had bits of lint stuck to his tail and whiskers.

New swimsuits for Japanese students

I never understood the obsession with the navy standard school swimsuits depicted in Japanese anime and manga, I always thought they were ugly and unstylish. Now school girls can look cute and be covered up in these new swimsuit designs. I'd wear it.

Test post. Giving the new G+ a test drive. Already, I'm disliking what a resource hog it has become. My hangouts bar on the right hand side displays irrelevant people to hang out with (such as people not on G+)...when it displays anyone at all. Right now it is blank, I can't chat with people. They also took away status modes, to me that is a major nono.

Also testing PICTO app for android. This photo editing and decorating app is free to use. It has a few stock graphics for you to use but you can purchase more from their store. It has the cutest 8-bit pixel art of any app and will definitely add some whimsy to your pics. Unfortunately, all photos must be cropped into a square before use, and the app is a little buggy. The in-app ads don't load because of a bug so I'm not complaining, hehe. 

Square photos don't seem to do so well in G+.

Next Gen XBOX console name "XBOX Infinity" claimed to be FAKE by the person who "leaked" the new name on Reddit in the first place.

User C-Ron first uploaded the widely circulated logo on Reddit but today admitted it was a fake on the thread here: http://www.reddit.com/r/gaming/comments/1e2s0u/discovered_that_everyone_thinks_a_fake_xbox/
The user claims he is completely unaffiliated with Microsoft, is an unemployed 20 year old with no college experience, and made the logo based on his own speculations.

Mad Men vs Game of Thrones according to the latest issue of Canadian Business magazine (I posted this last night from the tablet but the image quality was butchered). It's amazing to think each episode of +Game of Thrones costs $6 million, it's like a mini movie every week. 

Also, I should add not only are more babies named "Arya" in 2012, but I've noticed a couple pets (mostly dogs) being named after her too.

Also, I think Peter Dinklage should get on G+.

This is the most dramatic and unbelievable episode of Gordon Ramsey Kitchen Nightmares I have ever seen, it belongs on Ripley's Believe it or not because the things that happen in this restaurant makes it unbelievable that this business is still running. How can a couple this psychotic and abusive still be alive and functioning out there in the real world? Every other episode pales in comparison as this restaurant is a hell-pit of an establishment.

This episode was recorded at a Scottsdale, Arizona restaurant, is there any laws regarding withholding tips from servers in Arizona that they are breaking? It is ludicrous the owners have to take tips away from servers in order to keep their sham of a restaurant open.

The more I use it, the more I'm loving Cymera, the photo editing app for Android. What made my heart skip a beat was the "mosaic" function, which allows you to pixelate things like you're censoring it. Imagine all the fun you can have censoring normally boring and mundane pics with the swipe of a finger, mwahahahaha! I edited this photo with Snapseed before using Cymera to add the censor, slight radial blur and the water droplet decoration. Very amusing.

Here's another photo edited using Cymera available from the Play app store (which recently received a swanky new makeover by thew way). This one requires you to sign up for an account, I can't figure out why, maybe I will receive more viagra spam than usual now, but anywho, the app is free to use. The controls are easy enough to figure out. This one comes with filters as well as a few basic frames and stickers, and even a "make up" function, which detects the facial features in the picture and pastes blush marks (as demonstrate here) or even fake eyelashes to your eyes! Even better is the liquify tool, to smooth out weird and undesirable lumps and bumps in your photos to ensure you produce the most fake and flattering photo for your dating or social media profile. Just kidding (but only slightly). I was playing around with various photo editing apps on my Nexus 7 tablet and found this frame from on the app Girls Camera and thought it appropriate. I also post-edited the photo further with stickers in photodeco+ an Engrish infused photo app (currently on sale for 170 yen!). Girls Camera is free but a little buggy and runs slowly on tablet. They are both chock full of super saccharinated frames and decorative stickers you an add to your photos to make your pics look like you're having more fun than you actually are. I would like to see a guy use these and still maintain his confidence in his masculinity.

Play The Great Gatsby the platformer!

Combine the simplicity of the original mario games with the story line of the classic F. Scott Fitzgerald novel, The Great Gatsby, and you get this amazing and addictive game! I can't tell you how much I'm enjoying this little browser-based gem, it runs so smoothly and is so easy to pick up. I'm super excited for the release of the movie this Friday, definitely going to see it when I have time! This game is getting me even more stoked!

Here's what my free comic book day looked like! The line-up for free comics was about 20 minutes long, during which time some meat-heads who made poor life choices decided to harass us in line for liking comic books and geeky things. Wtf, I thought I left that behind in high school? Guess they never grew out of that, which is very sad. 

The cat in the lower right corner is my local comic book store mascot of sorts, I think he lives in the store. His name is Ginger and he is very soft. I hope everyone was able to grab all the loot they wanted!

I visited the Makeup Forever tour bus today and got my face done, here's the souvenir pic I got at the end with the slick new hat I got at H&M! I like hats because they cover up my absurdly large forehead and make me feel mysterious. :D

I think thete is no better feeling than getting your face pampered by someone else, the feel of a soft brush sweeping away your insecurities, the pat of powder smoothing away imperfections, or the exciting feel of a pencil drawing out your confidence. It's nearly orgasmic. I think more men should try makeup, they're really missing out. A bit of concealer and maybe guy-liner probably wouldn't hurt, colours can do wonders for a grey day. Colours and delicious food, like bacon. And deviled eggs. God I love deviled eggs. Omg and filet mignon. And lately I really enjoy asparagus with butter or cheese. Mmm, cheese.

I spent the entire afternoon playing addicting mobile and flash games from indie company Spry Fox by +Daniel Cook which I found due to his popular post on why he quit being a developer for Microsoft Xbox. Post is here:

My point is, if you're stuck in a waiting room or at an airport and need to kill time, Triple Town for android and iOS is very simple, fun, free and ad free (they make money through in app purchases, not required to win the game). Best of all, IT IS SO FLIPPIN CUTE, I'm going to die. Give it a go. Don't die.

I also tried High Grounds (http://www.highgroundsgame.com) and registered as Lillium. It's a turn-based strategy game running on Adobe flash. Again, simple and easy to grasp, like plants vs zombies. Challenge me if you'd like!

Does the creative director for Microsoft (@adam_orth) not realize what a prick he sounds like right now? This is the modern day equivalent of saying let them eat cake. I hate how I can now say "back in the day when I was a young'un, I didn't need an Internet connection to play a single player video game."

Listen, here in Canada, even in urban areas like toronto, we have to deal with a garbage telecom duopoly which might as well be a monopoly because the companies are all in bed with each other. I've got ridiculously low Internet caps and expensive overage fees, so forgive me if I don't want to waste my precious bandwidth on supporting your lame-ass DRM attempts. Seriously, developing countries have better Internet plans and and services than me.

Went shopping today, I was super excited to get Parappa the Rappa for $0.99, brand new and at a retail store! Also, Ni No Kuni new and still shrink wrapped for $49.99! Waiting a bit sure pays off, saved me 20 bucks to be exact!

I watched Mardock Scramble the anime, loved it, decided to pick up the Manga. There's something about broken girls who rise again with kick-ass superpowers that I really, really love. It helps that she gets a cute animal sidekick too, double that if there are cute outfits involved. The Sailor V volumes are self explanatory.

(I hope g+ doesn't nuke pic quality again. Pah.)

If you like video games and you live in Toronto and you're looking for something to do, you NEED to visit the Ontario Science Centre for Game On, (http://www.ontariosciencecentre.ca/GameOn/) the exhibition about gaming through the ages, which features 150 games and other gaming related things. I posted about this a month ago and went this past Monday to check it out and bring you the details! For $22 per adult (and maybe $10 for parking), you can play retro and new games, touch working old-school and rare consoles, view original game art, character designs, collectible gaming merchandise and learn neat facts about gaming through the years. The most amazing thing (to me) is seeing some of the graphics of the older consoles on fantastic HDMI-enabled flat screens, and playing some of the older games on updated computer hardware! Drama on the internet as a supposed millionaire uses crowd-funding website, Kickstarter, to raise funds to send her 9 y/o daughter to RPG camp to learn to make video games

Susan Wilson started a Kickstarter campaign to raise $829 to send her daughter, Mackenzie Wilson, to a camp for kids that teaches how to use a game-builder to make RPG games. When I go on vacation, I don't have time to relax, I become busier and get more tired versus going through a regular work day. I mean, I would love to lounge around on a beach and drink sparkling pink stuff with an umbrella in it, but when I'm surrounded by a foreign culture and new languages, there's nothing more spectacular than exploring the new surroundings and getting your shoes a little dirty. Just be sure to wear appropriate shoes because I went abroad with heeled boots and had to track down a shoe store on the third day in Paris to get flatter shoes, and the only thing I could find real quick that didn't make me retch with their designs were these "eco-friendly" rip offs that started fraying the second day. Still better than Uggs though.

While in Paris, I took a trip by metro to Versailles to visit the Palais-Royal. Pictured here is the Royal Chapel, in which the legendary Marie-Antoinette married King Louis XVI at the tender age of 14. I was still watching Sailor Moon and worrying about pimples and boys and fitting in when I was 14. As far as gilded cages go, Marie-Antoinette's must have been trapped in the most beautiful gilded cage of all.
