In the 1890s archaeologists dug up a huge haul of papyri written in ancient Greek in Oxyrhynchus, Egypt. But until last year, scholars had managed to translate just 1% of them. Now the Ancient Lives project has enlisted thousands of internet users, who have already helped to transcribe more texts than diligent scholars had managed in the previous 100 years. Everything from shopping lists to a new gospel has been revealed in this extraordinary example of 'citizen science'"

"For Tarkovsky, film – like all real art – is a form of contemplation on the meanings of our lives, on our sufferings, on what we may make out of ourselves.
Solaris is set in the future, and is about Kevin, a psychologist in Russia whose wife committed suicide ten years ago. Kevin, who lives a lonely, secluded life, is called upon by his scientific colleagues to visit a space station that hovers over a planet called Solaris. A psychologist is needed because astronauts who have been visiting the station have had strange, eerie experiences. Still mourning the loss of his wife, Kevin takes up the mission and upon reaching the space station, finds that the only two inhabitants of the large station, both scientists, are behaving mysteriously.

There are two qualifications for Google Apps in Education, Google Analytics and Google Adwords: Qualified Individual and Certified Trainer. The former is gained by a number of rigorous and timed exams. The latter is achieved by an equally rigorous combination of assessment and evidence of the use of Apps in Business. There are less than 10 Certified Trainers in the UK. There is a list available - Google it! As far as I can tell, there is nothing to prevent someone running a course on, for example, Google Apps in Education provided that you make it clear what Google qualifications you have and that you don't use Google badging anywhere."

FREEZING LEMONS - WHO KNEW
Amazing frozen lemons. All it is.....is a frozen lemon.
Many professionals in restaurants and eateries are using or consuming the entire lemon and nothing is wasted. How can you use the whole lemon without waste?
Simple.. place the washed lemon in the freezer section of your
refrigerator. Once the lemon is frozen, get your grater, and shred
the whole lemon (no need to peel it) and sprinkle it on top of your
foods.
Sprinkle it to your vegetable salad, ice cream, soup, cereals,
noodles, spaghetti sauce, rice, sushi, fish dishes, whisky.... the
list is endless.
All of the foods will unexpectedly have a wonderful taste, something that you may have never tasted before. Most likely, you only think of lemon juice and vitamin C. Not anymore.
