Virtualreality.io is an interesting looking platform for the oculus rift. I have talked with a Rep from the makers and they say that they plan to support Linux but some up votes on this page could help speed up the process. It's so close to being truly a cross platform app let's show the creators that true cross platform is important

Servers - whether used for testing or production - are primary targets for attackers. By taking the proper steps, you can turn a vulnerable box into a hardened server and help thwart outside attackers.

Learn how to tighten Secure Shell (SSH) sessions, configure firewall rules, and set up intrusion detection to alert you to possible attacks on GNU/Linux server.

This is gold.

Internode, one of the biggest ISPs in Australia are changing their Acceptable Use Policy to include prohibition of "cracking tools, packet sniffers or network probing tools".

Point 3.1 "Prohibited Use" reads:
3.1 You, and any person who accesses your Service, must not use, or attempt to use, the Service:
(m) to use, attempt to use or distribute tools designed for compromising security (such as password guessing programs, cracking tools, packet sniffers or network probing tools);

Yet they are doing it themselves here
http://mirror.internode.on.net/pub/debian/pool/main/j/john/john_1.8.0-1_i386.deb
and here
http://mirror.internode.on.net/pub/FreeBSD/ports/i386/packages-stable/All/tcpdump-4.4.0.tbz
and here
