How You Move Your Arm Says Something About Who You Are

"When Olympic swimmer Michael Phelps steps onto a starting block a few days from now, a Stanford scientist named Krishna Shenoy will be asking himself a question: "What's going on in Michael Phelps' brain?"

Specifically, Shenoy would like to know what's happening in an area called the premotor cortex. This area doesn't directly tell muscles what to do. But it's the place where the brain gears up for something the body is about to do, like swimming."

Adobe Air Success!
So I finally got around to testing the DiscDogger's Toolkit that I created the other day, and wouldn't you know it... It was a success! I'm looking to put together some small packages and some upgrade packages... anyone who has a toolkit or is interested in testing, let me know in comments below.

So I've been doing a bit of work on web and desktop applications over the last few days and grabbed a couple of screen shots: Pics! or it don't exist...

Disc Dogger's Toolkit v1.5
The first screenie is of the +DiscDogger's Toolkit right after being compiled on a trial version of FlashBuilder 4.6. We're pretty excited about updating things a bit, and are working on an updated version for the Fall.

YouTube Direct
The second and third ones is of YouTube Direct - a super cool application that allows people to upload videos directly from our site. You upload a video assessment via the blue button and it hits your YT page, is attached to a playlist of our choosing, and +Ron Watson or +Apryl Lea are sent a notification for playlist approval and feedback. Youtube Direct on Pawsitive Vybe
Here's what I did last night. Still playing around with it a bit, and dialing it in, but you can see it in action at http://pvybe.com/blog - the blue 'upload your video' button. I am open to design suggestions on the button... 

It's a pretty straightforward process if you already have your google software loaded onto the Eclipse editor. That was the biggest pain of the whole thing... I'm a little simple when it comes to coding - I hack and tear apart and stumble through syntax - so it's been a bit of a challenge, but it's starting to make sense.

Why no Embed G+ Image Albums?
There should be a really simple embed code for the stream based slideshow here on G+. It would be pretty sweet to just grab a snippet of code and post it on WP or blogger.

It's a pretty slick slideshow and it should be rather easy to embed. I'd love it. 

Anyone else feelin' this?

"Pit Bull" Assistance Dog Trains at the Space Needle in Seattle
Bruno Mars, an Animal Farm Assistance Dog in training works some heelwork with trainer +Apryl Lea after hours at the Space Needle in Seattle. 

We had just rolled into Seattle after 30 days on the road, secured our hotel room and saw the lights at the Space Needle a few blocks away and hit it.

Captain America... You Are Cleared for Takeoff.
We've been a bit quiet over the last few weeks, as we've been on the road slaving away training dogs, not having internet and doing dog stuff. 

Disc Dog Camps in Rochester, MN, Taos, NM and Seattle Washington. 

We flew down to Albuquerque and put together some footage of Captain America working in Taos, and heres the footage from the Airport. 

We've got a few more service dog videos... Stay tuned for more "Pit Bull" assistance dogs from Minneapolis and Seattle.

Almost there... 4 Hours to Seattle
+Apryl Lea, the +Pawsitive Vybe pack, the Animal Farm Foundation Assistance Dogs in training and myself are getting close to 24 hours straight on the road from Fargo to Seattle. All's well. It's time for a new Lucky Dog like +Skratty here in this pic.

We'll be staying in the city at an undisclosed location with WiFi!!! I've got a little bit of video to post and we've got a super cool Disc Dog Camp to get organized.

Corporate profits have literally exploded.

By any measure, the increase in U.S. corporate profits during the past two years is staggering on its face.  When considered in context - chronic, record-level unemployment, anemic growth in GDP, Europe in free-fall, a depressed real estate market, (need I continue?) - the contrast is nothing short of mind-boggling.   Amazing how these seemingly disparate realities can co-exist, no?

TETHER (Pilot)


Enter the mysterious world of Tether; a post-apocalyptic setting where mankind is slowly rebuilding from a virus that decimated the world a century ago. Now, mysterious cables are dropping from the sky, revealing an isolated world long forgotten.

Tether is a pilot/concept piece for a web series that we were developing over the past few years. At this point the future of the project is uncertain, but we wanted to share the work we've done with all of you!
