I've only just discovered come across Peters advice and decided to see if my older head shots held up. This was shot just using 2 strobes with soft boxes.  What I was most happy to see was that I got a pretty good jaw line and head  position.

Like the Flying Dutchman, Club Cupcake has come and gone. Disappearing for another year into the into the Silver Lake night. Five hot young men were stripped down to their underwear and then adorned with cake frosting and sprinkles. The audience roared their approval until one was triumphant. He won treasure and the coveted Mr. Cupcake 2012 pink faux fur vest. It was a night to remember.

Can anyone explain to me why just because you are a tax exempt organization you expect photographers to work for free? Seems to me photography would fall under the category of publicity. If I cover an event I indeed give the producer a few photos of the winners but if they want access to all of my shots they could pay me in advance or buy images on an individual basis. If they want a large number of photos then I'm willing to work with them on a bulk rate. But free?!
