So here I sit, in the View Lounge on the 39th floor of the Marriott Marquis in the heart of San Francisco...

For most attendees I/O 13 finished at 5 PM. For me, the last session ended at 10:11 PM, which is why this post is being written rather later than expected. However, that's too long a story to go into now, so I'll just skip right along to the part where I give my overall impressions of the conference. 

Unlike many others in my field, I've seen I/O as the most important conference in the annual calendar for a a couple of years now. There are two reasons for this:

1. It's not an SEO event
This basically means that most SEOs tend to dutifully ignore it, since there's obviously nothing of any value for them here. There are no Search Quality or Spam Team Googlers to interrogate and misinterpret, and there's no chance to rub... more »

World's Greatest Social Media Advice.

I was watching the comedian Craig Ferguson for a few minutes and somewhere in his comedy special he was ranting about social media. Then he said the single greatest piece of advice I've ever heard about the thoughtful consideration you should give before your post something on Facebook, Google+, Twitter and the rest.

Anyone working on Schema? I am enabling it fully site wide on 450+ domains today and I want to know how many of you are using it. From what I can see very few are using Open Graph and fewer still are using schema.

To get started, just start a Hangout and click View More Apps > Add Apps > Hangouts Remote Desktop.
