Okay, I hope this isn't a dumb question... When you see a circle share post and it says "[Name] shared a circle with you", does that mean you're part of the circle being shared or that it's merely being shared?

There is a text based chat, voice chat and a web cam option. If you've never video chatted before jumping right into all 3 can be a bit much with strangers. Especially if you are shy. We understand. We were all there at some point too.

Google Chrome Remote Desktop Beta

Do you use Google Chrome? Have you ever wanted to remotely help someone that's having a computer problem? This link is something you should totally get. Thanks +Chee Chew for bringing it up! (look in the expanded section for the link)

Jumped into a +Chee Chew hangout, where the topic went to a little bit of troubleshooting why a specific camera didn't work. I went to fire up my GotoAssist session, when Chee mentioned this App for Google Chrome that allows you to do some remote settings.

Basically, you click on an authorize access button and it gives you a code.. The other person fires up their Chrome browser and enters their code. Bam! You can setup remote access!

While my desktop PC could be out of commission for a week or so, I wish I had one of these handy as a backup. Otherwise, it would make a slick, low-power media server. Either way, I want one! Possibly two...
In fact, I'd like to start a circle for people who will be buying/using the Raspberry Pi... hackers, programmers, software developers, open-source enthusiasts... let me know. Hey everyone!

I hope, wherever you are, that your New Year's (Eve) has been excellent for you.

I've really enjoyed and appreciated breaking in Google+ with each member of this amazing community. We're changing the game, that's a very exciting thing and you've played a big role in making that happen!

I will openly admit that 2011 has been a challenging year for me, to say the least. Some things I've shared openly, other things with a select few. The support I've received from many of you has made all the difference. Not only has it kept my spirits high, but also given me hope for the future, both in online communities and IRL (in real life).

Congress published a list of companies which support SOPA, and therefore are against free speech and the Internet. Sad to see so many groups fighting against perhaps the greatest thing humans have ever built.

Let's make sure they end up on the wrong side of history. Call your representatives and tell them that you want the Internet protected, not attacked.

Lots of record and movie companies, obviously, but also a surprising number of police organizations, fashion companies (L'Oreal, Estée Lauder, Revlon, Tiffany & co, ), Visa and Mastercard. Not on that list, but also supporting SOPA is the AFL-CIO.
