Canon 7D , on its way. I have a Sigma 17-70 I plan to use initially. I have rarely had this lens off my 1000D . I enjoy landscape and portrait photography , any suggestions for a better lens as 'main' welcomed.

Tidying up and found this picture taken at a family wedding, the bloke in the background is the wedding photographer ! Yep, that's right mate you fiddle with your camera, I'll get the shot.

This should be debated more widely as Boston returns to normal. Because normal just became very different.

Spring has at long last sprung.

Today I have seen several butterflies, our blackbird couple return to their hedge and, this evening bats, feeding in the calm after sunset.

I hope the weather holds because all the animals over wintering must be on their last energy reserves. A false start could be the last straw for so many.

I expect the next few weeks to see an explosion of feeding to build up for summer.

If you get the urge to get out and start planting do give some thought for our bees, the link below gives great advice even if you are just planting a few pots.


Other plant settlers are available ... This just looked most comprehensive.!

Can't bring myself to be cruel to a dead grandmother and mum.

I sincerely wish her peace in passing.

I will however never forgive her destruction of this country. No, not the miners. Nor the unions. Nor privatisation....
It was her co-opting of an entirely new brand of Tory, by appealing to the basest of human traits... GREED.

Thatcher made it aspirational to want more. More of anything and at any cost. People who didn't want more were lazy, feckless a drain ( sound familiar) ...... THAT.

Of course most of those she brought on board didn't have much to start with, not a problem her friends Tarquin and Gideon could lend you any amount you needed. And so to they made more. You owed more. You needed more. More more ........ more.

And all this she pulled off whilst still maintaining the thrifty house wife alter ego.
