On of my creative outlets over the years has been making beaded jewelry.  It's been ages since I've done it but I have quite the collection of beads.  I need to dig back in soon and make something new.  (The color palette shouldn't surprise you.  haha!)

 i am here to bring awareness to all of you.  
Do you have any questions about my Crohn's Disease or any other IBD {Inflammatory Bowel Disease}?  
IBD is very different from IBS {Irritable Bowel Syndrome},
so please try not to get the two confused.
Millions of people all over the world are affected by this life crippling disease, it's time to get the word out so we can find a cure or at least get a little understanding as to what we go through on a daily basis.  I also want to thank all of you that have reached out to me and to others who struggle with similar issues.

Saving The Best For Last

The late bloomer on my Clematis plant has finally decided to open up.  It is now a fantastic display of purple and green goodness. :)

We need some wishes, this guy and me.  I had to take my buddy to urgent care last night due to stomach issues and being a bit lethargic and it turns out he had a very high fever as well.  They are running tests and monitoring him but he will likely need to stay another night until they can get his fever down and he starts eating normal again.

I'm a bit beside myself but trying not to worry too much yet.  It is so very hard when the little daily animal habits and antics don't occur in your house.

Change can be overwhelming sometimes but at this stage of my life I've gotten pretty good at embracing and rolling with it.  Appreciating the positives, determining what I can influence in regards to the negatives and trying to let the rest go.  I'll take progression over stagnation any day.

A few current new G+ favorites:

- Being able to dictate when I see the new posts on my stream by using the "L" key.  I still may struggle to keep up but wow, this helps!

- Being able to expand the comments on a post and reply while still being able to scroll up and down within the post's comments without the entire page scrolling up and down.  No more opening multi tabs if I  want to reply back to people with ease!

We take photographs. We live for light. We breath vision. It's what keeps us going. We are photographers.

But David is blind. Totally blind. He sees colour only in his dreams. He says he feels like a ghost - nobody notices him - but he only knows he's for real when he walks into something and feels the pain.

Please watch this video by UK documentary photographer +J A Mortram who's been documenting David's life for a while along with the lives of many other folk in his home town. It's a project called Small Town Inertia. It's important.

I've never asked before but if you're one of the Google+ big wigs with thousands of followers then please would you consider sharing this? We want to raise - no, we WILL raise - $3200 dollars so that David can have a scanner and then be able to read again.

When it comes to moms, I was graced with the best one ever.  Period.
We've had our bumps along the way (I wasn't a barrel of sunshine all the time. Hard to believe, I know, but it's true!) but she taught me what it means to have and keep a family together.  Sometimes you make mistakes or feel frustrated but you always dust yourself off, catch your breath and go back in for round 2 (or 3 or 4) because that's what family is about.  Getting through the challenges together makes you stronger and the love is unmatched.
She has the biggest heart of anyone I know, she's silly and fun and full of life.
She's my biggest fan, my best advisor (I still roll my eyes sometimes) and my best friend and I only hope my kids feel the same about me when they are grown.
I love you, mom.  Happy (early) Mother's Day.  ♥

I was down at the bottom of the dune at Jockey's Ridge in North Carolina.  Watching the people on top turn to silhouette as the sun started to set.  One of those moments when you're reminded how very small you are in the grand scheme of the universe.  I think we all need moments like that sometimes.
