This is indeed the best (and funniest) reaction to Google Glass yet. If you think +Ron Richards needs his own pair, re-share and let +Project Glass know. He gets my vote.

Some of you may already figured out the hidden Easter Eggs in the new Hangouts. Here is the full list to have some fun with them. Keep in mind that those codes only work with Hangouts on Google+.

This phenomenon is called Prandtl–Glauert singularity, The Prandtl–Glauert singularity is the prediction by the Prandtl–Glauert transformation that infinite pressure conditions would be experienced by an aircraft as it approaches the speed of sound.

The last swimming elephant in the Andaman Islands, India
Swimming elephants like 60-year-old Rajan used to be a regular sight in the Andaman Islands, south of India, but this five ton Asian elephant is now the last of his kind. Replaced by motorised boats, Rajan no longer needs to swim miles between islands to work for his keeper, known as a 'mahout'. Rajan still swims for ten minutes twice a day, completing about 500 yards before heading back to shore. Brazilian photographer, Daniel Botelho, 30, travelled to the Andaman Islands in the Indian Ocean after hearing stories of islanders swimming with these giant beasts.
'I would swim between him and the sea bottom - but I almost got killed by the elephant during one photo shoot. Suddenly swell came and took me and the elephant by surprise. I was stuck in the sand because of the crash of the wave' said the... more »

Things you need to know about ACTA #acta
ACTA is the Anti-Counterfeiting Trade Agreement. A new intellectual property enforcement treaty being negotiated by the United States, the European Community, Switzerland, and Japan, with Australia, the Republic of Korea, New Zealand, Mexico, Jordan, Morocco, Singapore, the United Arab Emirates, and Canada recently announcing that they will join in as well.
Why should you care about ACTA? Initial reports indicate that the treaty will have a very broad scope and will involve new tools targeting “Internet distribution and information technology.”
Even if your country is not listed above you should care because this will spread worldwide after it passes and even if your country doesn't sign it will indirectly affect you.
1) ACTA isn't the European SOPA. Its nearly Global, and wil... more »

Apparently these are 12 things that happy people do. I generally think of myself as a happy person, but this is a good reminder. I'm going to focus this weekend on #9: Savor life's joys. What about you?
1. Express gratitude.
2. Cultivate optimism.
3. Avoid over-thinking and social comparison.
4, Practice acts of kindness.
5. Nurture social relationships.
6. Develop strategies for coping.
7. Learn to forgive.
8. Increase flow experiences.
9. Savor life’s joys.
10. Commit to your goals.
11. Practice spirituality.
12. Take care of your body.

Self Referential Structures are beautiful, actually C programming is beautiful.
typedef struct node {
int data;
struct node * next;
}
typedef struct queue {
node * head;
node * tail;
}
queue * init (void)
{
queue * p = NULL;
if ((p = (queue *) malloc(sizeof(*p))) == NULL)
{
fprintf (stderr, "Error while allocating memory for Queue.\n");
exit (EXIT_FAILURE);
}
p->head = p->tail = NULL;
return p;
}
void enqueue (queue * s, const int data)
{
node * p = NULL;
if ((p = (node *) malloc(sizeof(*p))) == NULL)
{
fprintf (stderr, "Error while allocating memory for insert.\n");
exit (EXIT_FAILURE);

I'm late to the party (ironically because I was observing a UX test), but hey... Android Design Guidelines!
My favorite segment is the one on Writing Style:
http://developer.android.com/design/style/writing.html
Maybe it's because I'm not a terribly visual thinker and pretty language oriented, but for me, clear concise strings can make or break the "feel" of a UI. If your language is too stilted or has even the vaguest odor of jargon, you're going to come off as nerdy no matter how awesome your interaction design and UI work is. So I love the language guidelines, as well as the examples.
