Sometimes, just as a mental exercise, I try to invoke the oldest memory I still have.

Dealing with Google+ Notification Overload
Too many notifications
If you are swamped with too many notifications from Google+ for new posts, you reduce them to only see the notifications you want. Notifications for non-community and community posts are handled slightly differently, as follows:
-- Non-community notifications are controlled in the view for each circle. Select the button at the top of your Home stream for the circle you want and click the bell icon in the upper right hand corner of the In this circle card if it does not already show as Off. You must repeat this for each circle you want to turn notifications off for.

That awkward moment in a discussion about women's reproductive rights when I get accused of making a comment that's "demeaning" to someone (presumably because she's a woman and I'm a male), when in fact I was mocking the fact that a supposedly sentient being (gender being irrelevant) could be so thick-skulled and only perceive what she wanted to believe to be true that she seemed comically oblivious to how she was arguing with people who AGREED with her....!

But people like the crazy Dunkin Donut Lady are what's wrong with this world. Miserable, hateful people with no other purpose than to try to spread their misery to others. And she's too clueless to realize she just outed herself as the truly horrible person she is to the entire interwebs. Good job, lady- you should be in MENSA.

Facebook Is Now Posting Affiliate Scams As Sponsored Posts
So It's Official.. Facebook is now putting up diet pill affiliate garbage spam posts to "produce revenue".. Why is Facebook changing the standard of what can be posted on their network? These type of posts were NEVER allowed before. All ads have to be approved before going live. For two days now I've seen this same ad at the very top of my stream... It goes to a 100% affiliate diet pills scam site.. This one is for a "We need your credit card for a trial of Coffee Pure Cleanse and Colo Cleanse Pro"
You sign up for the trial, pay for shipping and immediately start getting charged $79.99 Plus shipping and handling a bottle... In other words... Pure scam garbage.
This is equal to what you use to see on Myspace back in the day.... Ridiculous. Others have mentioned similar garb... more »

This is undoubtedly the least popular opinion I could share today, and I'm sure it's going to cost me some followers, but I feel it needs to be said anyway by somebody.
Voluntarily putting yourself in a situation where you have to take orders like a subservient robot to kill other human beings, orders that are handed down btw from rich privileged politicians who would never in a million years risk their own lives or the lives of their children, is not a virtue. Getting yourself killed by putting yourself in said situation- you and yours certainly have my sympathies but, also: not a virtue.
I get a little tired every Memorial Day of the rampant parroting of the "they defend our freedom" delusion. That's not what war is about, no matter how badly some may want to believe.
