Does anyone here know about pianos?

A few months ago, someone gave my husband a baby grand piano. We had to go get it, and move it ourselves. I watched a video about how to move it/ take it apart. The peddles were fine when I took them off, but when I put them back on, one of the screws won't stay in, like the hole is stripped or something.

My question is, do I just fix the stripped hole so the pedals can be screwed back in? Or could it be something else. It seems like the pedals would work just fine, if the screw would just stay in, but I worry about messing up the piano.

Why art makes a great gift. People like art! However it is not something people will buy for themselves. Even though most people would love something interesting to adorn their wall, it is not a necessity. It feels like a luxury, that the average person can't afford.
In the art world, it is not hard to find something great, that would easily fit into a gift budget. Art comes in all colors shapes and sizes. All styles and tastes! As long as you know the person you are buying for, you can find the perfect piece for them.
Give them something they can't find in a store! Something they can enjoy for a lifetime.

Dollar rental car nearly ruined my family vacation! We traveled across the country to visit family. We set aside $300 for spending money. Nowhere did it say they would hold funds on our card! We got into town got the rental car, and went out to eat after a long plane ride. When we went to pay, our card was declined! This happened around midnight. We sat at the Waffle House trying to figure out why we had no money, and no way to pay our bill. We called the after hours number for the bank, and they could only tell us that there was a hold on our account. So we called Dollar rental car, where we found out they put a $250 hold on our card!!!!! That was all of our money!!! We had two small children and we were 3000 miles away from home. We said we would return the car, and rent from another company. They said we could do that, but the money would be held indefinitely. So if we returned the car, we still would... more »

I made a creek for an old grey water system that was grandfathered in to our house. I plan on putting more plants around it. Hopefully the plants will just live on the grey water. So this is my attempt to take something that was ugly, and turn it into something nice.

Calling all geeks! Does anyone know of an iPhone app that lets you lock apps?

I let my 2 year old play with my phone sometimes. It's fine as long as he only plays his apps, but he likes to play "Draw Something" and it confuses the people I'm playing with. He also messes with my time clock, that I use to keep track of hours if I do work for people. He even emails those hours 0.o luckily only to me, but still.

He changes languages, and screws with all sorts of things! I don't mind him playing angry birds, or other games, but he needs to be locked out of some of my apps.

I've looked, and there are plenty of apps that lock people out of your "private pictures" lol! But none that will let you lock, say, a folder full of apps, or individual apps. Please help! If you know of one, please let me know. He even saves his "Draw Something"... more »

Hi everyone, I'm sorry for being absent lately. I have been having some health issues, so I'm avoiding most social media until I feel better. Or at least until I know what is going on. I've been in a lot of pain, and I have been quite down. So rather than posting anything negative, I have just stayed away. Hopefully I'll be back to my normal self soon, and back to creating and posting art again. Please don't remove me from your circles, I'll be entertaining again I promise. I need some suggestions for how to fix this four inch tear in one of my huge paintings. I called an art restorer; they said they would fix it for $400. Now I know they have expertise and deserve what they charge, but I just can't afford that. I haven't tried to fix it myself, for fear of ruining it. I would really like my painting to not be ripped. Have any of you ever hurt one of your paintings? Did you fix it? If so how? Should I just save up and have it fixed by the pro? What would you do? This is my favorite painting, and it's been ripped for nearly five years.

For #anACEOaDay I did three and I have been working on these for a couple of days. This is one of my husbands courses for the wine dinner he's cooking for. This is a play on bar food. The first part is a blue cheese stuffed buffalo wing square, with hot wing agar, celery sauce, and a micro green salad. In the middle is salsa tomato water, with chip foam, and micro cilantro in a shot glass. The third is popcorn shrimp; fried shrimp in a popcorn purée,with a popcorn garnish, a chive stick and an undecided green oil garnish surrounding it all. I usually draw out his food ideas to help him visualise and remember them.
