I have started a new Spotlight thing in my feed (or really it is an older concept I used even on Instagram years ago). I will promote one great photographer every day and showcase a picture or two from that persons feed.

Santa Monica Beach.

One of the things I've had to overcome as a photographer, is my shyness at asking people if I can take their picture. Last weekend I saw this lovely woman on the rings. Not only did I ask to take her photo, but I asked her to get back on the rings AND asked some folks to move out of the background. It always surprises me how willing people are to cooperate. And of course, I gave her my card, took her info, and sent her the jpgs.
