Imagine Science Films679,363Join us to kick off the 2014  Experimenta Series! For the first episode of the year, we are excited to welcome guest Kelley Remole for a conversation about the mind, brain and behavior.   Post questions on the event page and join us Thursday on air at 11am. We hope to see you there!  *Kelley Remole, PhD* Dr. Remole is the Director of Neuroscience Outreach at the Zuckerman Mind Brain Behavior Institute at Columbia University. She obtained her doctorate in neuroscience from Columbia University in the laboratory of Dr. Holly Moore, specializing in hippocampal alterations in a rodent model of schizophrenia. Concurrent with her scientific training, she developed a program to place graduate students in New York City public school classrooms to bring knowledge and interest of the brain to children. In her current role at the Zuckerman Institute, she works with scientists, educators and the public to create outreach programs for all ages.  She also helps lead the local chapter of the Society for Neuroscience. Under her leadership, the chapter produced braiNY, the New York City celebration of Brain Awareness Week, bringing together a dozen cultural groups and academic institutions to host coordinated public events about the brain. Dr. Remole was the Sackler Brain Specialist at the American Museum of Natural History from 2011 to 2013, where she developed and taught brain-based classes to youth and adult audiences.  She consults formally and informally on brain education initiatives in a variety of contexts. She received the Society for Neuroscience’s Next Generation award in 2011 in recognition of her work bringing brain science to the public.Experimenta: Mind, Brain & Behavior with Kelley Remole2014-01-16 17:00:0063

Like a big phrikkin notification wake up call to get that red box glowing. I get that it says July, 18th - July 20th - I am just accounting for global time zones. The last event was Friday, March 29th 2013 and out combined efforts were able to choke Google Plus bad enough to stall it for hours. Over 700 people RSVP checked in and over 5,000 participated... https://plus.google.com/events/c8l229phco57tacvtt6n7kl5rfk *Please share this & invite your friends to join in the celebration.* MmmKayThxBai, see ya there.Plus Phuck Phriday V.2 #PlusPhuckPhriday2013-07-18 07:00:00530
