Cyprus hospitality never goes out of style! It can't be explained, the only way is to experience it - a memory for a lifetime. It's been a completely amazing #BeSmartBeSafe  week in Nicosia, with the staff, students and parents of Latsia Gymnasium. This was the best barbecue we've ever had, prepared by the parents! Just incredible..

I've been listening to some of the TWiT shows for quite some time, even though I first thought that there is no way I can cope with the ads (luckily, they are not frequent and it's pretty easy to go 'fast forward' and skip two minutes!). I very rarely watch those shows, just listen on my phone, but boy - the studio setup they have really is something else! Of course I'm well aware of the fact that the price tag is stellar.

I wonder if someone has tried putting together a 'poor man's HOA studio' according to some of the principles TWiT folks have? Would be cool to hear more about the setup and the experiences in that case.

What might be the most common causes for folks getting disconnected from a HOA - excluding bandwidth problems? Some colleagues had trouble last time and I feel a bit helpless as to what might be messing things up for them - especially since I never had any trouble whatsoever! Any ideas most welcome! Hi everyone, just migrated my blog to wordpress.com because Posterous went down in flames.. The migration worked fine except that the fonts seem to be completely messed up now. Is there a way to set the font for all existing posts in one sweep, do you think? I'm a complete newbie to wordpress as you probably understand :)

Ever want to quickly set up one templated page per student on a Google Site?  Want a quick and easy way to email feedback and check the last update time on each student web page?

Thanks to some inspiration from folk like +Sean Beaverson and +Graham Bowman  in the Apps Scripts for Education - Builders and Users Community (https://plus.google.com/communities/11280694700423616523) I spent some time this weekend creating the  pageMeister script, which does the following:

--Takes the URL of an existing Google Site and uses a list of students (with email addresses) to generate a page per student.
--Allows you to construct the page titles in the spreadsheet.
--Allows you to position the student pages underneath any page on your site.
--Lets you use standard Sites templates (Web page, Announcements, List, File cabinet), or specify a custom page template.

Had also a nice Hangout today with on of the, eh, Kahoos +Jamie Brooker and there might be some very interesting things happening with this thing further on. Say I have an (On Air) Event for my upcoming HOA and I invite folks by using a circle. Then I use another circle and some of the G+ users are in both circles. Do those G+ users get two invitations?

I just compared the video output I get from the built-in cam in my (old) MacBook to an external (Logitech) cam and the colors are really messed up using the built-in video on the Mac - my face is definitely not quite that red :) Is there a way to fine tune the white balance(?) on the Mac? Didn't find anything in the settings when I quickly browsed them through.

I'm still trying to figure out the best way of zooming in/out while doing a screen share - the best deal would be some kind of a 'magnifying glass' feature, I'd guess. Found anything that would do the trick, anyone (preferably on a Mac)? The Cmd +- doesn't quite do the trick.

Hey +Ronnie Bincer I'm watching your 'chef' Hangout video once again - you mention that the host can sign in using two computers (to have two cameras, for example). What are the exact steps of signing in to a HOA using, say, two computers? I'm a bit lost here :)

Warning HOA members: you may be broadcasting live "before you start"

This is a limited situation (so likely no need to panic), but in case you are using HOA (Hangouts on Air) and the New One Channel Design on YouTube you may have this dilemma...

This is a bug that was discovered by +Craig Long and we just spent quite a while testing it. I've reported it to the proper people, but you can report it as well if you like.

The time when you are inside a HOA and the show has not gone live yet is called The Green Room... normally you can feel pretty confident that nobody but the Filmstrip members are able to see what is going on inside the Green Room of an HOA... but right now (March 30, 2013) we can't be so sure about that.
