Sebastian challenged those of us on the mission's trip team to learn 2 Romanian words a day till the trip. We'll each amass about 60 at that rate. :) Between today and yesterday, Sarah and I have learned "Good Morning," "My name is...", "Excuse me," and "Thank you,". :) Too bad "My name is" and "Thank you" sound so much alike. I'm sure I'll botch them up.

So......this morning we woke up to find a 2007 E350 12-passenger van in our driveway...with ribbons on it. And gift cards and money in it. The giver remained entirely anonymous--the only signature was "James 1:17." Mind entirely blown by God's goodness. (And if the giver happens to see this post and I knew who it was, I'd fly at them with a huge hug.)

While lecturing a petulant little sister who said "There's nothing to smile about today so that's why I'm not smiling," I thought about how many blessings we miss because we won't see them. The Hobbit....let me just say that my opinion that Martin Freeman (Bilbo? Watson?) and Richard Armitage (Thorin? Mr. Thornton?) as some of the finest actors I "know" is massively, overwhelmingly reaffirmed.

This morning I realized, my office is a Command Center for one of the largest and most effective centralized deployment programs in the United States. We are sending over 1,300 volunteers to the closest races around the county to make a difference.
