ABC Picks Up Marvel/Joss Whedon’s ‘S.H.I.E.L.D.’ To Series

No surprise here — ABC‘s first new series order for next season has gone to Marvel’s S.H.I.E.L.D., from The Avengers’ Joss Whedon. The network will air a first-look at the series, officially titled Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., during the season finale of Once Upon A Time on Sunday. This marks the first pilot and first series for Disney-owned Marvel on ABC.

If you were looking forward to "Gothica", it's DOA... ABC is not moving forward with the show. Gothica had a good cast (including Fringe's Seth Gabel) and had some early buzz, but its premise of mixing famous horror literary characters didn’t quite work.

I had a feeling this season would be its last... A 2-hour movie to wrap up all the loose ends, is better than nothing. We know (historically) the Pope's fate, so end it properly Showtime.

I saw Iron Man 3 last night... Thought it was absolutely phenomenal! Though I'm not a huge fan of 3D, we opted for that version for the RPX digital experience (killer sound).
