This is just an interesting article to read. You can unplug as much as you want to, but when it comes down to it the "real world" and the "virtual world" have become so intertwined that it's hard to be in one without the other. The internet is part of our lives, it's part of how people communicate. Cutting yourself off is not always a bad thing, but it's not something you'll be able to do forever.

I have been waiting for cursive to disappear from public schools. If people want to keep it as an artform, than teach it as an artform, not as a requirement. Apparently people argue that historians will need to be able to read it in order to read documents such as the Declaration of Independence. Am I the only one who thinks that is ridiculous reasoning? If historians for some reason do not receive cursive knowledge in their historian education, they will figure that out on their own (they deciphered hieroglyphics). Especially since there are cursive fonts on computers that will help them "translate" (the Rosetta Stone of the future?). Whoever came up with the historian argument? Your face should meet your palm.

This kind of music notation software was the first thing I thought of when the iPad came out, and the ThinkMusic iPad App can finally bring us a great and portable notation software.
