Hey Macro Monday fans, this is an early reminder with a few extra bits of info on the side:

Thanks for another fabulous Macro Monday!  The theme was bumpy and I have to say - it was hard one!!  I love to see so many of you stretching your wings and bringing a whole new level of creative to our theme!

Woot!  Yesterday was our first Macro Monday 'theme within a theme'.  And SO many of you joined in -  and commented on how you were inspired and challenged.  Which is exactly what we were going for.  To motivate everyone (including ourselves) to try shooting something we wouldn't normally shoot.  Thank you so much for joining us!  

Based on the positive response - we're doing it again!  Here's the skinny:

1.  We will post the next week's theme on Tuesday.
2.  We will try to post reminders on our own pages but will always have the theme on the +Macro Monday page - so circle it up and look for it there!!
3.  The theme is 100% optional. We love all macros so keep posting them!
4.  Have fun! :D

Macro Photography Circle v1.0

So here it is, my final list of macro photographers. No shortcuts were taken with this circle, no other circles were merged with it, I wanted it to be a fresh list of people who contribute macro photographs to the G+ community.
Allot of the people you see in this circle have been added, thanks to the help of some Team Players in the G+ community which will be listed at the end of this post.
There is quite a broad range of macro photographers in this circle, from insects & flowers, to general household items. If you're interested in see daily submissions of some wonderful images, things you generally can't even see with the naked eye, than this is the circle for you.

I had to custom make a small motorized tool with a blue chip LED on it to make the "Orb" or "Ball of Light" this small. The red is from a small red LED Key light. (34 second second exposure, f/22, Sigma 105mm Macro, ISO 200)

Zebra disguise

I'm not 100% sure, but I do believe that this dark and beautiful butterfly is the Zebra Longwing or Zerba Heliconian (Heliconius Charithonia). It is the state of Florida's official butterfly.

Here is a drop of water on top of a blank dvd. I was actually using the dvd as a coaster for my beer while thinking about what to take a picture of for Macro Monday. As I took a chug from the bottle I looked down and saw the light refracting from the drops of water left by the cold beer and decided to capture it.

Explosion (picture of the day) Strange and intriguing tropical blossom. It grows on a tree and looks like a small red bobble. When you look at it closer, the flower build up from the narrow pappuses. And in every pappus, there is like a tiny golden flower itself. Image is from the Gardenia (tropical garden).
