R.I.P. The most interesting ride that I never got to see the inside of.

The last time I was at Cedar Point was in an October, around the time the Top Thrill Dragster was built. So this ride wasn't open, and I never rode it before that because I was afraid of roller coasters the previous time when I was 6.

It's basically free admission and unlimited runs on Gold Striker (new 108' tall, 54mph wooden roller coaster) until either they kick you out or you toss your cookies (which they provide :) We rode it a total of six times last week and would have had time for a seventh, but decided dinner was more important. :)

"My partner Jim (left) and I (Lon) shared 34 Years together!! The past 6 years he has suffered from Alzheimer's Disease. He was hospitalized last year. His estranged sister filed for guardianship of him and won. We gave each other Power of Attorney, which she never revealed in court as I was never mentioned nor considered nor notified. 

She put him in a Nursing Home and had criminal trespass orders against me to keep me away from him. I'LL NEVER BE ABLE TO SEE HIM AGAIN! She got his bank account from Social Security Disability and sold his house out from under me. I had 2 weeks to vacate our home of 12 years. 

If we were EQUAL in the eyes of the law we would be together till the end. But as it stands in Texas, a money hungry greedy relative was able to steal our life and toss me out as trash to pad herpoc... more »

The Decline of Apple

Apple was in the lead with smartphones way back in the day when the iPhone came out. So the biased silicon valley press would talk about how Apple was beating Android. Until Android started beating Apple.....

So then the silicon valley press started saying that Apple was beating Samsung. Sure, they couldn't complete with Android anymore, so they singled out a single manufacturer. Until....

Samsung started beating Apple for the year. Last year for example, Samsung sold 10 percent more phones than Apple all by themselves. Android total sold three times more phones. So they started only reporting on the quarters Apple came out ahead. So every other quarter you'd see "Apple surges ahead!" when they'd sell more phones by a few percent.
