These three kings from ...... were parked up on the sea front at Rhos on Sea in Wales, and I've still no idea why or where the drivers had gone to. They parked there each day over the bank holiday weekend though and that gave me a chance to shoot them.

Through the dappled forest

Driving through Gwydir forest above Llanrwst I was met with some beautiful dappled light playing through the trees. I had to stop and capture a moment in time which holds some particularly sweet memories for me.

Lookout point

An iconic view but nevertheless I had to take the image of Warkworth Castle in Northumberland on my visit late last year. The walk along the river is such a peaceful place and the view of the castle looking out over the river valley was majestic. You can just imagine the boats transporting people and goods to and from the local market place with the 'well to do' looking down on the peasants - how times have changed!

Spring is here!

Woohoo, spring has arrived at last! After weeks of cold, snowy conditions in the North of England it looks like spring has finally arrived. I haven't been on Google+ in the last few weeks due to family commitments and a brief respite over in Wales last week recharging batteries. Hope to move forward now and already setting my alarm to catch the sunrise tomorrow - I hope its a good one!

Its always nice waiting for a typical English breakfast - eggs, black pudding, bacon, mushrooms, beans, hash browns......... (you can fill in the blanks). Its the anticipation of the feast to come, and after a long walk in cold Cheshire woodland nothing could be better. Mmmmmmmmmmm lovely!!

On a Snowy Winters Night

You lucky, lucky people.... I went out tonight in -4 degrees to take some lovely night winter shots. I passed this place earlier today, and thought it looked fantastic, but didn't have my Nikons on me, so I went back to shoot it under the cover of darkness..... Just for You.

We are expecting more snow tonight and tomorrow, hopefully more great winter shots to come. It's really tricky shooting at night, with no lights in the countryside.. but hey, I love a challenge. This shot was a 20 second exposure 100 ISO.

I love winter and how it changes things, this is a clematis flower or what is left of it after it goes to seed and dries out. There are just a few flakes of snow on it. The tails are two remaining seeds on the flower. This is a focal stacked image shot outside.

Is that a song I can hear?

The ring of stones found in Happy Valley overlooking Llandudno in North Wales was the site of the Welsh National Eisteddfod which were held there in 1963. The National Eisteddfod is traditionally held in the first week of August and the competitions are all held in the Welsh language. To signify that the Eisteddfod has been held a circle of stones is created, these stone circles are icons all across Wales and signify the Eisteddfod having visited.

Happy Valley lies on the lower slopes of the Great Orme and looks across the pier to the Little Orme - I love it here!

Oh what a tangled web we weave.

Sorting out the mass of cables behind my PC and TV today, something I have meant to do for weeks. One problem still to resolve is the urgent need for a third power surge protector for TV and Sky box, pc and hard drives are protected - just hope my luck holds out for another night!

Hope you all have some sort of protection for your electronic equipment!

Underfoot it was like a bog, with water sodden earth turned into a mud like consistency by the horses kept here. I so wish I had worn something more appropriate! #wetfeet
