Stove Top Stuffing & Bacon
It's what's for dinner...

I was too lazy to make an effort on dinner tonight, so... stuffing, bacon, and an iced mocha were in order.

It definitely wasn't the healthiest of dinners, but it sure hit the spot.  Sometimes ya just have to follow your cravings when in recovery mode.

Having just seen the latest Star Trek movie, I figured this Audi commercial starring Zachary Quinto & Leonard Nimoy deserved another share into the stream... I never loved a car commercial so much.  

P.S. Star Trek Into Darkness is definitely a worthwhile movie to see... was definitely better than I expected.

Kicking Off Mother's Day Weekend

Growing up, my mom always made sure we had fun things to do, and fun places to visit.  We spent many summers at places like Disneyland, Knott's Berry Farms, and Sea World, as well as enjoying breathtaking places like Lake Tahoe and other National Parks around the country.

YouTube Ad Accuracy Is Scary

So, I passed a billboard on my way home tonight announcing that they're re-opening the Wet-n-Wild water park here in Vegas... I remember thinking, I should look it up when I got home (which I promptly forgot about)... Then I followed a YouTube link from a post, and the first ad I see was for the water park... creepy stuff Google... accurate and helpful... but creepy. :)

NASA used a 3DRobotics ArduCopter to autonomously film its latest Robotic Lunar Lander test flight. From the writeup:

"We've been using the ArduCopter platform at Marshall Space Flight Center for almost a year now.  We started with a 3DR Quad and have several 3DR Hex vehicles.  We're using them to test their capabilities for aerial reconnaissance as well as search and rescue.  This past week we used our Quad with a GoPro Hero3 to film a test flight of the Robotic Lunar Lander.  It was a fully autonomous flight (takeoff, ascent to 100' altitude, transit to loiter position, RTL once filming is complete, and landing).  As you can see from the video, we got some amazing footage from a very unique vantage point.  Thanks to 3DR and the devs for all your help and assistance! "

This project started after the announcement of Disney buying Marvel comics and all the the fans started making Pixar / Avengers images. Well I was not terribly happy with the images that they were doing, so I tried to do better. Most of what I saw was recoloured images from "The Incredibles" movie screen grabs.

Mainly, this was just another way to better know Photoshop and I used the same rules as when I did those "Star Wars" posters. Just collected a lot of images using Google, cut and pasted them together, and this is what you get. I put them in a format that makes them look like those movie & comic trading cardsI... more »
