Do you know the world map at CircleCount.com?
Here you can find the global Top 100 (or 1,000) people on a map. You can also set a filter for a country and/or a gender and get a specific map:
We are asked from time to time, why someone is not on this map or in the rankings of a specific country. That’s quite easy when you know which informations are available for CircleCount.com.
We can identify your country only if you have set a location as public in your Google+ profile. You can check this with the following steps:
Open your profile in Google+ and click on the button “Edit Profile” (or just click here):
Click on the map or on the label “Places lived“:
Type in the name of the city where you are living or the name of the country. Take care, that you have choosen “Anyone on the web” and click once on the green pin so that it get blue. The blue pin shows your current location:
Click on the button “Save” and then on the button “Done editing“. That’s all.
Afterwards you just have to open your profile at CircleCount.com (you can also use directly this link) and reload this page, so that your location is updated at CircleCount.com.
PS: Thank you Mark for supporting us making the screenshots

Hello guys, my google page doesn’t show my location, I did what you say but It doesn’t work.
Hi Carlos,
could you tell which page is yours so that we can take a deeper look?
Thanks!
brandsgym that’s the name of the page, it’s also the name of my profile
Thanks!
I can’t see an address in your about-page at Google+.
Could you please check also the screenshot here (http://www.circlecount.com/blog/2011/11/more-infos-about-google-pages/) and add the address to you page for public? Afterwards you can open your page at CircleCount and it should be updated within some minutes.
Nothing guys! I did again what you said… wait a few hours, but nothing
Do we talk about this page: https://plus.google.com/112717704489619013806/about ?
If yes: I still can’t see an address there, did you remove it again?
You can send us also a message through Google+ (https://plus.google.com/111487545374003509241/about) if that’s easier for you.
Nothing guys! I did everything that you told me to do but it doesn’t work. What it’s weird it’s that my profile marks Madrid, but the google page, nothing!
Just a short info for anyone else
We have solved this point with Carlos directly in Google+
Same problem here: there’s no “location” in the about section of a page… E.g. https://plus.google.com/112163614175372497977
I checked on the admin’s profile, France is properly declared. Does the page take its location from the admin’s?
Sincerely
DJM
I manage multiple pages, and have the same problem for all of them…
DJM
Hello cybearDJM,
in your example the country/location is set to France: http://www.circlecount.com/p/112163614175372497977
Is this wrong?
Hi, yes I had an idea during the night and did a test. This one worked… but it seems I didn’t get the same result with other pages… Does the location appear during some kind of “refresh” process? Wondering…
Yes, there is a refreshing process, but after so many hours it should have been done.
Can you tell us the pages, where it is not working?
If you want with a limited post directly in Google+ to https://plus.google.com/111487545374003509241
My location *Switzerland* “is not available on circlecount”
Hi Musekyto,
what do you mean?
You can choose “Switzerland” at the top bar and will be directed to this page: http://www.circlecount.com/?country=Switzerland
There it is your location
The G+ Page Profile section has no map to select a location from. Only the personal G+ About page offers a map for selecting location, not the G+ Pages profiles, so there is no way to set the location for a G+ Page.
Therefore my G+ page shows no location in CircleCount and there is no way to add one
Hello Wafuku,
you can find here a description on how to define a location for your Google+ Page:
http://www.circlecount.com/blog/2011/11/more-infos-about-google-pages/
Ah, thank you. I’ve done that now. The CircleCount page shows my location in text at the top left now, though the big image of the world, on the right of the page, still says no location available, which is rather misleading but I guess I’m stuck with that.
You’re welcome!
The map will be updated in the background. This should be done in the next minutes, since the update is made automatically.
ah, thank you.
I have followed your instructions, but my location (Aarhus, Denmark) still doesn’t show on your exellent site ?
Hello Bongo,
thank you for your comments. We have just re-run the country-detection-script for you page and it looks good: http://www.circlecount.com/p/101400634700165360136
Normally it should have been shown after a few hours automatically.
Just getting started
Thanks for your message Memes Do Panico!
I can see your page here: http://www.circlecount.com/br/pages/
Can you tell us where exactly you are missing your page?
Thanks!
Hello! I have the same problem – my location is not available in spite of following your instruction. I live in Russia. Could you check my profile, please!
Hello Nadezhda,
thanks you for your comment. Can you tell us the url of your profile so that we can check?
Thanks!
http://www.circlecount.com/p/109519609037392639363
Thanks for the url Nadezhda!
On your about page at Google+ (https://plus.google.com/109519609037392639363/about) we can’t see a location. Probably it is not set to be shown publicly. You can check this by yourself when you logout of Google+ (or use the incognito mode) and open your profile on Google+.
Yes! Your were right! I’ve changed access to my profile.
Thank you!
Great!
Your CircleCount profile is also updated right now.
Welcome back in Russia Nadezhda
I can’t get a location to show up on my page HIRL Edinburgh – https://plus.google.com/b/106751054016977040731 to appear on Circlecount.
Hi Andy,
thanks you for your message. Please check this article to see how to add your page to a county on CircleCount: http://www.circlecount.com/blog/2011/11/more-infos-about-google-pages/
Hallo!
https://plus.google.com/u/0/b/102506901448022034742/102506901448022034742/posts
schaffe ich es einfach nicht.
Vielen Dank im vorhinein
Robert SKREINER
Hallo Robert,
)
Robert SKREINER
