Xbox One Reveal 2013 Highlights

The Xbox One was unveiled and I was quite underwhelmed. Mainly it was because I own all this tech already, and there were more unanswered questions brought up in the presentation.

How were they streaming live TV? Some people, like myself, have TiVos with multiple tuners, but the Xbox One only showed one stream. Does the X1 talk to the TiVo to switch streams? Some TiVos have five tuners.

Where were the games? Yes, there were games, but the presentation started off with television features. My Twitter stream was filled with gamers asking "where are the games?". We did, eventually, get some videos from EA which were quite underwhelming.

Call of Duty was nice but when you're shooting someone fast, are you going to count the hairs on someone's arms? Yes, it's nice we have the tech for this, but seeing it in Call of Duty didn't do anything for me.... more »
