HUGE tree came across and down on back of next door neighbor's house yesterday evening during storm! Tree is from TWO yards down! Their house kept tree from hitting ours as long as it doesn't slide or blow down further. Otherwise it may go through our office window. I think it's hung up in their windows.

I was outside lashing trash cans down when wind suddenly picked up. I didn't see the tree coming down but I heard something crashing and I just starting running! Parts of the tree came down on top of my head and hit right side of my face and right arm as I jerked open storm door and ran PAST hubby standing in Kitchen. I think I heard him say Holy Hell! Or maybe that was me.

Back soon. Mother-in-law fell and broke her hip and I have been staying at the hospital with her. She's 93. Oy.

No wifi here and spotty cell service. And I am too tired to care. Sitting in my car to post this. Oy again.

A frozen fruit mix commonly used in smoothies is suspected in a hepatitis A outbreak that has affected five Western states, according to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

Thirty people have been infected with acute hepatitis A, and nine of them have been hospitalized. Infections have been reported in Arizona, California, Colorado, Nevada and New Mexico, the CDC website said Friday. Eleven of 17 ill people interviewed reported eating Townsend Farms Organic Antioxidant Blend, a mix of frozen berries and pomegranate seeds.

Company records show that the fruit mix with contaminated ingredients was sent to only Costco stores, said William E. Gaar, an attorney for Townsend Farms. Costco has removed the product from its shelves, he said.

Insane Tornado video
Brett and Brandon got extremely close to a violent tornadic circulation that produced multiple tornadoes in very close range... The team was hit by inflow jet winds into the tornado and their vehicle received damage as a barn was completely destroyed. A hay bale came barreling across the road and was tossed into their car.. The team is very fortunate to live to chase another day... Incredible storm chaser traffic prevented an escape from the tornado like normal.. There have been fatalities with this tornado.. The team's thoughts go out to those affected!

Looks like one guy just about had shit coming out of his shirt sleeves!  Damn!

At this time, we do not have a cause for the failure of the camera drive line that interrupted tonight’s Coca Cola 600 at Charlotte Motor Speedway, and our immediate concern is with the injured fans. 

The camera system consists of three ropes -- a drive rope which moves the camera back and forth, and two guide ropes on either side. The drive rope failed near the Turn 1 connection and fell to the track. The camera itself did not come down because guide ropes acted as designed. A full investigation is planned, and use of the camera is suspended indefinitely.

Google is basically transferring privacy controls from the user who left the comment to the poster of the content in which said comment appeared. Which is to say, if you said something on your friend's private post and assumed it would stay that way – private – your friend will now have the option to make that content public if he or she wishes. That includes your comment, and there's nothing you'll be able to do (save for writing your friend an angry email) if he or she decides to edit the viewable settings for private posts.

Train Crash in Missouri 7 Injured Bridge Collapses.
7 injured after train collision Scott County 7 injured after train collision, overpass collapse in Scott County ROCKVIEW, MO (KFVS) - Seven people were taken to the hospital after a massive train collision in Scott County that took down an overpass.

Officials say around 2:30 a.m. there was a train crash near County Road 210 and Highway M in the Rockview community. The Highway M overpass collapsed on impact.

Scott County Sheriff Rick Walter says a Union Pacific train t-boned a Burlington Northern train that had just made it through an intersection.

The collision caused one of the trains to derail and hit a pillar under the overpass causing it to collapse. At least a dozen train cars derailed.
