It's no secret that major US companies have been victims of a growing number of hacks from overseas in recent years, allegedly by attackers looking to steal corporate information and intellectual property, such as patented software. The Department of Defense and US diplomats have also accused China's government and military of being behind some of these attacks. Now, a new report by a group of influential former government officials and private executives says that if intellectual property theft continues at future levels, Congress should consider passing laws allowing US companies to "counterattack" against such hackers, whoever they may be.

Can't wait for WebRTC to be fully adopted on all devices, I just watched a video of Nvidia working on hardware acceleration for HD WebRTC connections on tablets.

Side note:, when my new company asked me why I have so many Google related work on my C.V, I replied because there fucking awesome and then used WebRTC as an example of this.

Interesting in understanding JavaScript's memory usage, the article attached below is a great article that helps simplify JavaScript allocation model and referencing model.

To place it simply, If you create 2 variables with the same value, you only allocate memory for the first value, and the second variable will reference the first values location in memory.

The article then goes on to explain how it uses an object-tree like model to keep it's memory footprint to a minimal.

Great and simple stuff!

The Google+ Hangouts API a Year Later
Great talk by +Jonathan Beri and +Richard Dunn. They introduced some cool new developer features for Hangouts and some new API stuff. To demonstrate the new auto load feature they used +Hangout Toolbox V2 :-)

Hey Guys,

After spending over a year working with Google on some amazing projects to help people who require special audio and visual needs have a great experience in hangouts it's time for me to now pursue a new project.

Recently I made the decision to move away from my home town in search for a new job in the surrounding areas and came across a company that specializes in very very fast computer hardware, when I say fast I am talking about 200 CPU's + over 2TB of high-performance RAM :O

Anyway, they are embarking on a new project that is specifically orientated around the use of +node.js, Sockets, Large data sets and complex algorithmic operations, this being right up my street I applied for a position.
