The director, a writer and some actors in the film "Star Trek Into Darkness" will join NASA astronauts as we host a Google+ Hangout On Air from noon to 12:45 p.m. EDT, May 16, about how work aboard the International Space Station is turning science fiction into reality.

Participating in the hangout will be NASA astronaut Chris Cassidy, who currently is living and working aboard the space station; astronauts Michael Fincke and Kjell Lindgren at NASA's Johnson Space Center in Houston; director J.J. Words of War will be an amazing cocktail fundraiser to benefit the Headstrong Project. The +Headstrong Project began treating military veterans in August 2012 and will be using funds raised from this event to expand care to veterans and their families. 

In partnership with media partners +Google, +Newsweek and The Daily Beast, and +Pixel Corps, Words of War will also benefit +Team Rubicon, Team RWB, and +Student Veterans of America. 

These organizations have all been incredibly effective at buildings communities of veterans - a strong antidote to the effects of PTSD and moral injuries.

- Rewind live broadcasts. Regardless when you start watching, you can always go back to the beginning.

- Access recordings immediately after your broadcast. Once you're no longer On Air, your recording will be waiting for you on YouTube.
