Changes!

My name... I'm finally dropping Chalkley, so I wanted to alert everyone.
My body: I finally have my surgery scheduled. Tuesday at 8:30am.
Our abode: we moved to Petaluma on Wednesday, still near the Bay Area, but after Sunday, I won't be out and about much anyway. I'll probably be in the hospital until next Friday, then I'll be recovering for a couple of weeks.

The jump pillow is really fun and more tiring than you might imagine!

If you don't recognize this, dot-dot-dot-dash is Morse Code for V... also the first four notes and the motif of Beethoven's 5th (V) Symphony with the subtitle Ode to Victory. Coincidentally, Beethoven wrote his 5th (c. 1804) prior to the development of Morse Code, which was written c. 1844. It is not known if Morse intentionally replicated Beethoven's 5th or if it was mere coincidence.

Miffed!

I went to my circles this morning because I needed to find some people locally and tag them on a post. That new "Find people" button was quite revealing, because when I first clicked, the first 2+ rows of people that it suggested I follow are people who have literally ALWAYS been in my circles! Huh?!! I double-checked and, sure enough, Google+ had been doing some stealth circle management for me! What is going on here?! Maybe +Brian Glick or +Sean Purcell can give some guidance??

At any rate, I found at least 20 people who had been arbitrarily deleted from my circles... people I've had for over a year and used to interact with on a regular basis. So, if you saw me circle you today, this is why. Also, if I used to comment on your posts and stopped, please let me know that you got lost in the shuffle.

I debated long and hard whether to post this interesting photo, versus the one where the actual quiver is in focus. I like this one better. Take my word, there's a quiver in here... albeit not the real (back) quiver my son would prefer. Thanks to +Nicholas Chalkley for letting me borrow his bow!

On my morning walk, I spotted 3 hot air balloons. I had my son bring my camera to me, then I spotted a parachuter in the photo with two balloons. He's hard to spot in the photo... bottom right third.
Hmmm, this could be P for parachuter, but I have something else in mind for the #abcproject today. :D
