SOOC No time to edit. Found out this is the last week of class and have several projects due THURSDAY. I am quite the panic, and it is such a lovely weekend! BTW my class has been working hard and having fun with their own blogs. If you get a chance, they would be thrilled to know someone has checked out their work. They are doing well for 8 year olds!

I am currently working on integrating technology into my third grade classroom. This week, students researched United State symbols and wrote a short 3 paragraph report. I let them select how they wanted to present their research. This student selected Go Animate. It is hysterical! They are loving this stuff!

Okay I know this is no where near the quality of +Sexy Flies and +Shane Williams and all the other insect photographers out there, but I am trying. So this is my first capture with my 100mm macro lens AND my new Kenko Extension tubes. It was crazy windy today and this was outside on one of my tulips. Focusing in on those eyes are crazy hard. I need help! Suggestions??

These were such tiny weeds but up close the purple ones almost looked liked blueberries. I will upload a picture later that shows the bottom part opening up. And I almost stepped on these beauties.

Hi. This little dandy is straight out of camera. No edit. I spend so much time on the computer for my students and my class for my doctorate, I just enjoy the time outside. I haven't been around much here lately because I am working very hard to flip my class and incorporate more technology. I hate to shamelessly promote my blog, but I have found myself more passionate about this issue than I use to be about photography. If you have a chance, jump on over and read about what I have been trying to do. My students have created blogs too! I think teaching and learning should be fun and not test driven. Unfortunately, this is a battle in the public schools right now. Wish me luck! -Lisa

I started using this in my classroom today. It is the coolest thing I have ever done with my kids! Cracked me up. The kids LOVED it and thought of ways to use it for academic purposes. The applications are endless! I just had to share!
