I watched this Song Sparrow jump from limb to limb in this Hawthorn tree, and finally got a picture of it as it was about to fly away, with a green worm in it`s beak.
 
A great way to start the day with a high protein,(worm), for breakfast.

A floating rock ?
No, it just appears that way. I got this image today while on a photo walk at Collier Park in Nanaimo, Vancouver Island.
This rock was about 5 meters off shore and there was a clear blue sky with out clouds any where, and no wind to disturb the surface of the water, which made the rock appear to be floating.

Irrigation Water Tower

There is a small marsh about 5 minutes from my house, and the water fowl are quite use to seeing people.
This time of year, it`s mating season also for the ducks, and there are several breeding pair of Wood Ducks on the marsh along with other species.
 This male Wood Duck swam up to about 6 meters from me, stopped, which allowed me to get this portrait shot, then continues chasing the ladies.

I found a dead deer from a road kill with several Bald Eagles and crows feeding on it. When I stopped the car, this is the only eagle that didn`t fly away and allowed me to get loads of photos of it perched in a tree close to the kill.
