#United #Airlines has lost my Elite Status information, 31k frequent flier miles and I've been on hold since 6:30am. It is now 12:58pm. This is the 6th call to them. Each call has resulted in their system hanging up on me after holding for over 30 minutes each.

Their site is broken, wouldn't let me check into my flight and tried to overcharge me for baggage that should be free. Got a person on the line who wanted to charge me $25 for the privilege of taking care of this on the phone instead of using the website that is broken. I asked for a supervisor. They hung up on me again.

I have currently been holding fro 1 hour and 30 minutes for the Elite Member Customer Service Line. This is ridiculous.

This is appalling. I am considering changing airlines permanently and recommending to all festival and event coordinators that they not use #UnitedAirlines due to... more »

This video actually made me go 'Wow'.

It also held my attention for 5 whole minutes.

(I'm not sure which is more impressive.) I have to admit, I'm a fan of the original. This video was extremely well done, and I think it is very appropriate for International Women's Day. I hadn't meant to post anything about it, since I'm sure that you all are tired of it by now, but this video made me stop and stare.

These are some of the speakers, organizers, attendees and fans of the upcoming BIL 2012 conference. BIL is a rapidly growing DIY conference put on by some friends of mine each spring. It's a kind of anti-TED: cool people getting together to share smart ideas with each other, but without the elitism or 4-digit ticket price. The people who go really are interesting and mentally vibrant--definitely worth following. I'll be giving a talk there myself... hope to see you there!
