Jesse Wojdylo926,483Over the last few months I have noticed many people using Twitter to supplement Google+ or the other way around. I think there are some very effective strategies that can be used. This week we will get some of those strategies out on the table. All the information you need on Google Plus Chat is available here: http://wojdylosocialmedia.com/google-plus-chat-twitter-chat/ In December of last year I really jumped on Twitter in a big way as I love the real time updates and the sports engagement. This has yet to come to Google+ so I spend my weekends chatting it up with college football and college basketball folks. While doing that I notice plenty of other awesome social media users that know and love the Google+ platform. This led me to these discussion questions: 1. How long have you been active on Twitter? 2. Do you use Twitter for pleasure or business? Or pain? 3. Do you auto post to Twitter? Do you post Google+ Posts? 4. How do you use Twitter to supplement Google+? 5. Mention some active Twitter users that may enjoy Google+ 6. Do you want a Google Plus Chat on Christmas Eve? Please join us for #googlepluschat  on Twitter every Tuesday at 2:00 pm est. We will discuss if there will be a Christmas Eve event or not. Either way, join us this week!Google Plus Chat Twitter Chat2013-12-17 20:00:0053

Auschwitz guard on trial in Germany for accessory to 170,000 murders

When will the witch hunt end? What happened back then is wrong, however one can not blame every single person who was in the German armed forces as being responsible for these crimes.

He was 18, fought at the eastern front then got transferred to the camp as a guard. What do people expect him to do? Disobey his commanders and get shot himself? When you are in the armed forces, whether you agree or disagree with the decisions, you follow them!

Sorry but it's 70+ years since this happened. Enough genuine guilty Germans have faced justice. Let it go! Remember but move on.

Maybe that's the problem. Some people want to be remembered as the one who brought the most Germans to court. Wonder how empty their lives will be when there is no one left to chase.

Not sure how to feel about this. I don't use Airbnb but if I did, it would be my right to decide who I accepted. But I think the host went a bit overboard with the reason he gave for not hosting the guy. Maybe a simple "sorry, but I have already filled those days" might have been a better response?

Congrats to the five Aussie women.

n December 2015, the United Nations passed a resolution to recognise on February 11 each year women's contributions to the field.

The UN's research showed females "continued to be excluded from participating fully in science", with the number of science graduates significantly lower than males.

That doesn't mean women have not excelled in science — far from it.

The ABC spoke to a number of Australian female scientists and researchers at the top of their field.___Congrats to the five Aussie women.

A new 4.5 m-diameter ‘acquisition aid’ dish antenna is being added to ESA’s existing New Norcia, Western Australia, tracking station, ready to catch the first signals from newly launched satellites.

The new antenna will allow acquisition and tracking during the critical initial orbits of new missions (see Liftoff: ESOC assumes control at http://www.esa.int/spaceinimages/About_Us/ESOC/Liftoff ), up to roughly 100 000 km range. It can also ‘slave’ the much larger 35m dish, which can then be used to retrieve ranging data and telemetry signals – on-board status information – from the newly launched spacecraft.

The antenna was designed for low maintenance and operating costs and can go into hibernation when it is not needed between launches.

Michael raised an interesting point on the Borg .... any thoughts?

Comment on his original post :)

Why are all Borg white?  Even black people, after assimilation, are white Borg.  There's some interesting social commentary there.  Often, this kind of stuff is written without a focus on preaching about race relations, but it's interesting the implications we can infer from it.

Historically speaking, white cultures have forced the assimilation (no coincidence in my choice of word) of natives all over the world, the native peoples often lose their cultural identities in the process.  Regardless of literal skin colour, our cultures make the natives "white".  Alternately, the Borg could be a bit more space-racist.  They assimilate more and more species and technologies to achieve "perfection".  At some point, they might have assimilated space-Nazis, because they don't seem to like their society to have any black people in it.

The most likely explanation, to me, is it's not about race at all.  It's just art direction.  The Borg drones are covered in black machinery.  That contrasts well with the exaggeratedly corpsey white skin.  I imagine the Borg would all be black, if their armour were grape flav-  I mean purple, but Star Trek already has one ambiguously brown enemy, in the Klingons.  There'd be serious grounds to think the writers were racist, if they had two black enemies.___Michael raised an interesting point on the Borg .... any thoughts?

"The collaboration with the European Space Agency further strengthens Australia's ability to do world class research and innovation, and also strengthens our global position in the space economy," said CSIRO’s Executive Director of National Facilities and Collections Dr David Williams, who signed the agreement for CSIRO.

CSIRO and Australia already have various agreements with the European Space Agency to collaborate on space science and technology, and have been sharing data and expertise for many years.

The European Space Agency has an operating facility in Western Australia that is used to track their various space science missions that visit other planets. The facility recently tracked the comet 67P/Churyumov–Gerasimenko as part of their 'Rosetta' mission.

Australia is a rather inhospitable country. To subsist, the native flora and fauna have had to develop some alien mutations, just like the rain gutters on this hilariously uninterested thorny devil. (Navigate using the arrows on the side of the images.)

10cm wide ... or nearly 4 inches! Anyone want to play with this big boy?

A member of the public handed Big Boy into a Newcastle hospital so his venom could be used in the Australian Reptile Park’s venom-milking program. At 10cm wide [thats nearly 4 inches!] when fully spread, Big Boy is the largest funnel-web the park has ever seen.___10cm wide ... or nearly 4 inches! Anyone want to play with this big boy?

What does Prince Harry and Prince Seeiso of Lesotho have in common?

One would say "very little" with the exception of both being Princes. However the two came together and formed Sentebale in Lesotho.

Lesotho, with a population of just 2 million people, it is hard to believe that the orphan population is over 360,000, and over 37,000 children under the age of 14 are HIV+. Overall, Lesotho has the second highest HIV infection rate in the world!

Sentebale aims at helping the children living with HIV and you can find out more at http://sentebale.org/

At the age of 18 he moved to the USA and got acting jobs in such shows and movies as The Green Hornet, Ironside , and Marlowe. However his acting career truly kicked off when he starred in movies produced by Golden Harvest.

The movies are still popular today - The Big Boss, Fist of Fury, Way of the Dragon and Enter the Dragon.

He passed away on the 20th of July 1973 from a reaction to Equagesic, which contained both aspirin and the tranquilizer meprobamate.

If you haven't guessed who Lee Jun-fan is from the above and the images below, we know him as Bruce Lee.
