Woah, they really did it right this time! Thanks Google! Finally all the blank space is out.
And oh my how great landscape shots look spread on the whole page!

Only thing that bothers me is why in Photos I have to see all of my Picasa uploads [like those that come from Blogger for years and years back], instead of only Google+ ones.


PS: I love how it shows notifications for how many new posts are made while I'm scrolling, instead of the stream constantly moving. It was especially annoying when writing a comment.

In that very moment, a ship was passing right in front of the pier. One could only hear the engine and the waves splashing, but because of the thick fog - the ship itself was invisible.

Taken at Ruissalo island a while back, when the sea was still solid. The wave texture is formed by ships that pass and push new water onto the sides, forming fresh layers of ice.

Thanks, +Josh Blaha for the point, I just noticed the new profiles!

I LOVE how big the #coverphoto is!
I also really like how the profile page is arranged. Finally, the About is before the Posts and is made so that you don't have to scroll to eternity if someone has a long introduction.
I also like how it shows a small, business card-like window when you hover over someone's name.

Hey G+! How is everyone doing?

I apologize for being absent, but I needed a small break from the Internet. Nothing much has happened though, due to bad and very unphotogenic weather.

It's ski vacation week now, so I decided to make some posts here and there. In the shared blog note you can find some photos form recently, along with few lines of what's going on.

I'll do my best to not let my stream freeze like the weather outside.

What you see is the frozen sea, giving solid passage around the archipelago of Turku. Occasionally, ships can be seen cutting through the ice, just few meters away [as in here: https://plus.google.com/101349116094711853680/posts/cFDesUn2wDr], but that's just the charm of it.

We were taking a walk with +Kalle Luotola , on the frozen sea around Ruissalo island, and this Finnlines ship passed just some 50 meters away.
Adding to that, a group of people was taking a late evening dip in a small opening in the frozen waters, making it look like a geyser, because they just came steaming out of the beach sauna.

Yesterday we had a magnificent sunset, one in a very long time.
Despite the sun however, the weather was at freezing -10 C degrees, not counting the wind, so all tripods, bags, and even +Kalle Luotola 's filters got frosted.

The location is the very beloved Ruissalo island, though what you see in the horizon isn't the main land, but more islands from the Turku archipelago.

A surprising care-package arrived recently, from Bulgaria.
My mother sent me some dear foods from the homeland, including a pack of sunflower seeds. It's something I absolutely love, but sadly I haven't seen for sale here in Finland [apart from raw nuts for birds]. 
[Any Finns out there who might know something more about it?]

I felt like the experience is worth sharing, due to its dear nature to me.

A little something for a lazy Sunday afternoon.

Not a whole lot going on here. Grey, boring weather outside, raining for weeks, transforming snow into mud and iced streets.

Good thing is, we saw the sun today, for the first time in two months, though only for half an hour. Now it's cloudy and dark again, but hopes are up for a sunny tomorrow.
