Danial Hallock10,323No Name NeededIt's getting close to the Holiday Season, and the whole point of this particular part of the season is to "give thanks" to the people (or, in America, things) that have positively impacted your life.  For me, these are those people. You all should remember my initial circle The Three Hundred (http://goo.gl/kqE8h) which was well received at 251 +1s and 48 reshares.  This circle was my first round of hyper-vetting individuals for circling, based on a lot of criteria that was centered around high quality content and a high level of engagement.  I think I combed through about 2,300 profiles on a one-by-one basis before arriving at the final product. That circle then morphed into the The Collaborative Circle (http://goo.gl/Ex9ai) which was less publicized, but still racked in 90 +1s and 13 reshares.  This circle was based on the premise that "If four people from The Three Hundred enjoy person X, then I should also enjoy them."  Well, the combination of these circles lead to an interesting scenario in which I was able to locate all stars through a combination of overlap and relevance (via Google algorithms).  Out popped these twenty five individuals, and I could not be happier with the results.  These are twenty-five individuals in which I am subscribed, their posts are always enjoyable as well as insightful, and the notification stream keeps me engaged throughout the day.Whether you're looking at the tech news from +Mike Elgan, the social and scientific commentary of +Yonatan Zunger, or the general internet awesomeness that is the enigma of +Sarah Rios, you're not going to be disappointed.I normally only notify people that are contained within a circle, but these people are too awesome not to be guilty of a little plus-spam;  feel free to request a removal from the notified (all) circles.(Link to this post: http://goo.gl/AlsXG5) #nonameneeded   #circleshare   #sharingiscaring   #sharedcircle  2013-11-13 23:53:242639671

Jake Kern24,894The Silver DonutBeen wanting to do a circle share for a while, but I just haven't wanted to put in the work to get a group of 100 for another #GoldenDonut. Instead, I grabbed the top 500 from my Google relevancy algorithm. Then I removed a couple people who don't like being in circle shares & some pages so I could stretch the 500 a bit. (For instance, both +Melissa Bagley & +Melissa Ann Bagley Photography would be in the circle--in the top 25, actually--but I just included Melissa's personal profile even though you should circle both.)Many amazing people in here. Thank you for making this corner of the Internet worthwhile.Peace. #SilverDonut  2013-07-13 22:19:3849915023134
Mz Maau10,204I rarely share circles, and I regret to inform, this is not the promised #CircleDirk , rather, it's a circle I've been semi-maintaining since last spring, when it was created for +Pierce Arner to jump-start his Plus experience.Today, I'm resharing the current version on behalf of +Søren Dalsgaard Brath, who, like Pierce, is looking for new content for his stream.I figure he and I probably have a chunk of overlap, so I've added a few extras he might not yet know about. Some notes about the curation of this circle:I've tried to set aside those who have not posted recently, and I've tried to only include those who post publicly, or to extended circles.  I may have missed a few, and if you're in this circle and would like to be permanently removed, please let me know. This is not the final version, as I'm not sure such a thing is possible. This circle DOES come with a warning:You will, most likely, NOT enjoy everyone in this circle.  I, like many, have eclectic tastes, and I'm still a bit gun-shy after seeing some of the explosions from last year's crossing of the streams, so PLEASE, edit this circle to your liking with that in mind.If I ping you, you're in the circle.  There is no expectation or requirement to add this circle, it's merely a courtesy ping.  Again, if you would like to be removed from any future circle shares, please let me know. And yes, I promise, I'm still working on the #CircleDirk .Also note:  This is NOT an indication of who I like best, though some are included in this circle.  It is simply meant to be a sample of the diversity I follow.#PinkAndFluffyPersonsOfQuestionableRepute2013-06-22 16:38:09164143576

Melissa Bryan25,213Circles Everywhere!Over the past couple of days I have been shared in some really awesome circles.  It reminded me how long it's been since I shared one of my own.  And with all the new people around, I figured it might be helpful.  These 200 lovely plussers were chosen by google's magic as being the most relevant to me (minus a few pages and the people who don't use G+).  I went through them and can assure you that these are all top notch characters (well, mostly :p).  They definitely make google+ the amazing place that it is.  Just, be prepared for shenanigans.  If you were notified, you are in the circle.  I don't ever notify, so hopefully you guys don't mind this one.2013-05-18 18:18:01200157597

Doctor Who Review: S08E10 - In The Forest Of The Night

An episode with significant structural flaws yet it entertained me anyway. Steven Moffat has gone on record that part of his vision for Doctor Who is for the show to be a dark fairytale. This approach is certainly not universally popular since it tends to downplay the science elements of the show.

How strong those science elements every were is admittedly debatable, but still it's a bit of a hot button with people. I mention this because Season 8, Episode 10 — In The Forest Of The Night just screamed fairytale to me.

10 Pieces Of Gorgeous Middle-Earth Art

The writings of J.R.R. Tolkien have inspired a lot of people over the years in many different ways. Perhaps the biggest impact would simply be the amount of fantasy writing that has been produced as a result of The Lord Of The Rings.  But there's also been a lot of artwork produced inspired by his creation of Middle-Earth.

Here I'm picking out ten really gorgeous, but very different pieces of Middle-Earth inspired art for you to enjoy. All of this art is available to look at on Deviantart and I would strongly encourage you to go and browse the rest of the artists work. It will be rewarding.

I've been productive today.

Not only did I write my post for today (My review of the latest episode of Doctor Who http://www.eoghann.com/doctor-review-s08e10 ) but I've actually got the first draft of my X-Men: Days Of Future Past movie review written, and I've selected the images for my 10 Pieces of Gorgeous Middle-Earth Artwork post (text still to be written, but finding the right images was a large part of the work on that one), and I've found the inspiration image for my Pulp noir flash fiction piece I plan to write this week.

Since I only write the one blog post a day now and at least one entry this week will be part 5 of The Wolves of West Virginia... I'm in pretty good shape!

I actually have 7 drafts in the queue at the moment, which means I'm in the very rare position (for me) of having to chose what not to post.

A fascinating concept that I had not previously heard of. Having the website co-ordinate the timing and message across social networks takes a lot of work out of this sort of campaign.

It could certainly garner you a lot of attention. But... use with extreme care because it could also massively annoy people.

There is no way I could purchase all my friends' books. I don't expect all my writer friends to purchase mine. I don't even expect all my friends to! I want to build an audience of people who genuinely enjoy my writing style and look forward to reading my stories.

Those people are out there, but many haven't discovered me yet.

A thunderclap is a good way for friends to help a writer reach out and find those readers. You don't have to spend any money to help an author out!

The Wolves Of West Virginia Part 2 - The Missing Girl

My phonecall to the Shepherdstown police was singularly lacking in useful information. They were polite but particularly uninformative about the missing Naomi. Ongoing investigation; pursuing a few leads; no comment. Someone had just done a refresher course on how to deal with the press. Oh yes, I may have given them the impression that I was a reporter of some sort. It’s not technically true, but I hear everyone is a journalist these days.

Attention Writers And Consumers Of Fine Fiction

I and others have been looking quite seriously at how we can kickstart writing and reading of fiction over on Medium. The first step in that is the creation of several collections of niche interest that I want to bring to your attention.

Pulp Stories - https://medium.com/pulp-stories

This is my, just created and currently empty collection for stories that capture the spirit of golden era pulp. Any setting and any age is welcome so long as it offers a pulp feel.

If you are a writer who would like to share a pulp story, then get in touch with me.

Steampunk Stories - https://medium.com/steampunk-stories

As the name suggests and the subtitle explains this is for Neo-Vicwardian Retro-Futurism. There's a mouthfull. Another new collection, this one is edited by +SteveT... more »

As the name suggests and the subtitle explains this is for Neo-Vicwardian Retro-Futurism. There's a mouthfull. Another new collection, this one is edited by +Steve Turnbull. And its first entry is to his story Wind In The East.

Tales of New Eden  - https://medium.com/tales-of-new-eden

This collection is for stories inspired by EVE Online and is edited by +Nathan Lowell. There's already one story there called _ All 'Bout That ISK_

Appalachian Nocturnes - https://medium.com/appalachian-nocturnes

+John Ward has set up this collection with a focus on tales of the supernatural set in Appalachia. Obviously it's going to be great because it features my story The Wolves of West Viriginia. Or at least the first part, but more will be coming.

Stories To Imagine  - https://medium.com/stories-to-imagine

Edited by +Mark David  this is for those whose stories have some semblance to the real world of crime, thriller, mystery, historical fiction... for readers and writers.

If you're a reader, just visit the links and enjoy. If you really enjoy perhaps you should follow the collections (all you need is a Twitter or Facebook account) and recommend the stories you like. Medium has a great layout for reading. It's very minimalist with nothing to distract from the text.

If you are an author you will have to speak with the editors of each of the collections in order to have your story added.___

Fiction Short: Pulp Noir

I new I was bringing him trouble before I walked through his door. It's not like I had much choice. The room stank of cigarette smoke and sweat. The man behind the desk looked like he hadn't slept, or bathed, in a week.

He looked up as I entered and for a brief moment something flickered in his eyes? Hope? Curiosity? And then it was gone, his bruised and battered face a cynical mask once more.

I’m Not Doing NaNoWriMo, But Maybe You Should

This is not a rant about how terrible NaNoWriMo is. In fact I think it’s great idea and I encourage people to at least explore participating in it. But it’s also not about how I’m participating, because I’m not. I’ve done it once before. I enjoyed it and it was worth doing. I will likely never do it again.

The aim of NaNoWriMo is simple, to get people to write. And that is an excellent goal to have. Ignore the people who go on about how 50,000 words isn’t actually the length of a novel. Also ignore the people who complain that the end result is unpublishable. Publishing a novel is not the aim of NaNoWriMo, just writing one.

So I'm toying with the idea of doing a weekly re-read and writing a post about it. It would probably be a chapter by chapter (or maybe two chapters depending on length) type of thing. Since we're talking re-read I'd be considering some of my old favorites to see how they stand up.

Anyone interested? And if so do any of these sound appealing.

I need to write an article at some point about people's compulsive need to control everything  despite the fact that really they control very few things in their lives.

Recent examples of this... the vocal resistance to algorithms filtering their news feeds and an outcry (in certain quarters) about Google's Inbox because they've already set up a complex network of 1,458 rules and labels to put everything exactly where they want it.

Trying to find the right way to describe someone fidgeting with their hands and the phrasing is escaping me right now.

I mean yes I could just say they were fidgeting, but that doesn't give the feeling I want.

Always frustrating when the words won't come to match what's in my mind.

Dragons Of Autumn Twilight Re-Read Part 1

I've never blogged a re-read before, so to a large extent I'm making this up as I go along. The basic idea is that I'm breaking the book down into about 10 chunks so I have a decent amount to discuss, but it doesn't take a year to get to the end of it. For this first part I'm looking at the prolog and Chapters 1 through 4 of Dragons of Autumn Twilight. Before I get to that though, I thought it would be worth setting the scene a little bit:

Dragons of Autumn Twilight was published in 1984 and fantasy fiction was rather different back then. Most of the big names we're currently familiar with hadn't been released (no Wheel of Time or Harry Potter or Game of Thrones). So Here's The Bold New Vision

Or at least my hundredth refinement on the bold new vision. My blog basically remains as it is. Everything of substance goes there. The aim is one post a day. No more, occasionally less. But each post is 1,000 words long so it's something of consequence. TV reviews; book reviews; The History of Science Fiction; Short Stories; Anything else that catches my attention.

Random whining and other annoyances will remain here on G+

And now, all of my fiction will be posted to Medium. That will basically be the sole focus of my posts on Medium. Just the fiction. And mostly my recommends will be fiction related too, though it's possible some of them may be articles for writers.

It's About The Story Not The Person

I've been spending some time exploring Medium in the last few days. One of the things I'm liking about it is that unlike traditional social media the focus is on the story not the person.

You can (and should) follow people and some of those people may write very personal pieces. But Medium seems (to me at least) to be a platform to present your writing, not yourself.

That's rather refreshing.

Cardboard Iron Man (shouldn't that be Cardboard  Man?) is rather awesome don't you think?

"I’m Cardboard Iron Man”

Has he lost his mind?
Can he see or is he blind?
Can he walk at all,
Or if he moves will he fall?
Is he alive or dead?
Has he thoughts within his head?
We'll just pass him there
Why should we even care?

Movie Review: X-Men - Days Of Future Past

There was a time some years ago when the X-Men movies were seen as the height of superhero adventure on the big screen. Things have changed a lot in the last decade. Mutants no longer reign supreme in the comics or the movies.

Unable to participate in the great Marvel Plan and hampered by a truly atrocious movie in X-Men: The Last Stand, X-Men movies just don't get the attention they used to. Which is a shame because if you look at the track record of the franchise it's really pretty good. X-Men: First Class was a great reboot of all things mutant and X-Men: Days Of Future Past takes it the next logical step.

Another #SaturdayScene  for people to enjoy.

“Good morning, Master Wright,” said the postman, digging through his bag. “A few letters for you today.” He produced a stack of envelopes, tied neatly with a length of twine, and handed them over to Master Phineas. “Any post of your own?”

“Not today, Oswald.”

I grimaced, realizing too late that I should have wrote a letter to my mother to send today. Though, I had no idea what I would—or could—even write about. Well, I’ve settled into the Dark Lord’s tower nicely. I met a rather polite demon who lives on the seventh floor of the tower, and I picked out my evil Dark Lord name today—Morthazgar, if you want to tell the neighbors. I scoffed. Yeah, that would go over well.

The postman left, and with the letters in hand, Phineas closed the door and returned to the table. “Junk. All junk.” He tossed the letters onto the table with a sigh and poured himself another cup of tea.

I glanced at the nearest letter, and as I started to read the intended addressee, the writing changed, the simple black lettering seeming to burn away on the page as the plain envelope turned black as charcoal, the writing glowing a fiery red.

     To Master Phineas Elwyn Wright
     alias, Ryxik Hathmor the Black-hearted
Dark Lord of the Tenth Order
     & Apprentice Alden Kingston Millard
     Griffinwold Tower
The Griffinwold - The Far Reaches

“When you finish eating,” said Phineas, seeming not to notice. “I was thinking we might go into town and do a bit of reconnaissance.”

I swallowed another bite of sausage and pointed to the letter with my fork. “Aren’t you going to open this?”

He glanced once at the envelope and waved his hand dismissively. “It’s nothing important.”

“But it has your name on it—your Dark Lord name.”

“I’m well aware,” he said, sipping his tea. “Open it, if you like. It is addressed to you as well, after all. But I'll save you the disappointment. It’s just an invitation from the Order. New season approaching and all that.”

“Invitation for what?”

He gestured to the letter with a wave of his hand.

Setting my fork down, I reached across the table and picked up the envelope. I expected it to be hot—or at least warm—but the blackened paper was disappointingly ordinary, except for the glowing script. Breaking the black wax seal with a kitchen knife, I opened the letter and read the invitation.

By request of the Order of Dark Lords,
     Master Phineas Elwyn Wright; alias, Ryxik Hathmor the Black-hearted; and his apprentice, Alden Kingston Millard;
are hereby invited to the Three-Hundred-and-Seventy-Second Annual Dark Lord Conference,
     to be held in Blackholm Keep of Winterdim;
     the location graciously contributed to the Order by this year’s host, Cavangweth Fangmar, the Harvester of Souls, Wielder of the Fell Sword and Champion of the Night Drakes, Master of Blackholm and Terror of Winterdim;
on the Day of Darkest Night, the Winter Solstice,
beginning at Five O’Clock in the evening.

Please respond with an affirmation of your attendance if you wish to acquire accommodations within Blackholm for the duration of the convention.
Also enclosed is a list of events and celebrity guest panels, for your personal scheduling convenience.
We look forward to seeing you at the Three-Hundred-and-Seventy-Second Annual Dark Lord Conference.

     Maliciously,
     Indrinel Dordellon
Deputy Grandmaster of the Order of Dark Lords

I set the invitation on the table and picked up the enclosed pamphlet, “Building a Darker Tomorrow, Today” emblazoned on the front in ornate script. There was a list of names and times, event locations, and other conference information within. Also included was an RSVP card.

“See?” said Phineas. “Nothing important.”

And The Winner Is...

Okay, followup to my original post on this. I am going ahead with the re-read idea.

Based purely on the poll I should go with Harry Potter, but I'm actually more excited by the idea of reading Dragons of Autumn Twilight again and it came second in the poll so I'm going to go with that one.

It's probably because I've read Harry Potter much more recently and I have a hankering to revisit my teen years along side Tanis Half-elven. I wonder just how rose-tinted my glasses are?

If the idea proves to be fun I will probably get to all of these in due course.

So I'm toying with the idea of doing a weekly re-read and writing a post about it. It would probably be a chapter by chapter (or maybe two chapters depending on length) type of thing. Since we're talking re-read I'd be considering some of my old favorites to see how they stand up.

Anyone interested? And if so do any of these sound appealing.___And The Winner Is...

So I finally got round to giving my site a favicon.  Been meaning to do it for ages but Wordpress made it really easy.

And what did I use? Why a giant E of course.

Because having a domain name and a blog name that's my name isn't egotistical enough.

It's all about me you see. http://www.eoghann.com

Why I’ve Given Up Reading RSS For Reading Medium
And Why You Should Be Reading Medium Too

I have been an avid collector and reader of RSS Feeds for years. Before Google finally shuttered Reader I had at least 500 feeds that I had carefully catalogued into various categories. These feeds covered a variety of topics that interested me from basic news to science fiction to television etc. And when Reader closed I carefully exported those feeds and moved them elsewhere only to continue adding to my collection.

But I haven’t checked them in weeks.

What happened to break a decade long habit? And what has that got to do with Medium?

Well, it wasn’t Medium that stopped me reading my RSS feeds. That actually happened shortly before I gravitated to Medium. No, what killed my RSS reading habit (addiction?) was the volume.

I have been an avid collector and reader of RSS Feeds for years. Before Google finally shuttered Reader I had at least 500 feeds that I had carefully catalogued into various categories.

Too Much Of A Good Thing Is Still Too Much
I’m a fast reader, or rather an excellent skim reader. Over the years I had perfected a technique for going through hundreds of articles and identifying the ones that might interest me based on a combination of the title and the RSS source. The ones that passed this first test then got a couple of paragraphs of my attention. A much smaller number would then be read completely.

The problem is when you’re dealing with a thousand or more new articles to review every day, even the fastest of browsing techniques starts to bog down. It would generally take me a couple of hours just to read all of that, never mind do anything with it.

And if I missed a couple of days suddenly I was with trawling through thousands of posts trying to catch up.
In fact, what would almost always happen in that case is that I would give up and mark everything as read. No doubt I missed some interesting things in the process.

Add to that the fact that inevitably a lot of the articles were duplicating content. Not literally the exact same article, but different people writing much the same thing about the same subject and the whole thing was just incredibly inefficient. Certainly I got to see a lot of cool things that way and read some interesting stuff, but the return on investment was getting progressively worse.

As a bandaid I tried reducing the number of feeds I was following, but really that only masked the problem. Sooner or later I’d add feeds again and I was right back where I started.

The Social Solution

For years now people have been trumpeting social media (and Twitter in particular) as being a better solution than RSS for getting news and links to articles. They are wrong.

Twitter is a stream (as many people have said before me) and all you can do is dip into it and see what happens to be floating by. If the volume of RSS feeds was a problem, then the volume on Twitter makes it completely impossible to keep up. And it has the same repetition problem that RSS had. You keep seeing the same information again and again. It’s incredibly inefficient.

Really Twitter only has one functional advantage over RSS, and that’s immediacy.

But for the sort of things I’m interested in. And actually for the sort of things that I’d argue should matter to people, immediacy is much less important than quality.

Twitter also has significant disadvantages, chief amongst them being that 140 character limit. It is extremely difficult to say anything of significance in so few letters. You certainly can’t provide any insight or subtlety. So at best you are left linking to somewhere else.

Enter Medium

Medium approaches things differently. For a start it isn’t interested in providing you with an ever flowing stream of information. Instead, it tries to provide you with a handful of articles, or “stories” to use its terminology, that will be of interest to you.

To do that it uses a few different factors. Recommendations from people that you follow on Medium, stories by people that you follow and stories that have been recommended by a lot of people. There may be some other magic in the algorithm was well, but that seems to be the core of it.

The system is not without flaws certainly. For example, it may take a little while to teach Medium what you are really interested in by finding and following the right people as well as by picking stories to recommend. And until you do the stories suggested on the home page may not be entirely satisfactory. They should, however, at least have a certain base level of competence to them.

That’s not to say that heavily recommended stories are always high quality.

Just because something is popular certainly doesn’t always mean it is good.

But I have to say I have been moderately pleased with the quality of what I’ve seen on that home page. Even in articles that don’t really interest me. Because that's another weak spot. There doesn’t seem to be any way to get a story off the home page other than to read it. An “I’m not interested” button would be rather nice.

So it is not a perfect system, but it does a lot of things right. The emphasis on Medium is on reading. They show you a manageable number of articles and they display them in a way that makes it extremely easy to read them. There’s very little to distract you from the text, beyond a few images chosen by the story author. It really is all about the ideas and the words.

Of course I’m still missing things. No one can possibly keep up with everything that’s happening. There’s just too much. But what I am getting is worth reading and I’m not being subjected to information overload.

I’ve been banging on for a while now about moving away from quick hit news bites to something with more substance. Medium has substance.

It’s so good in fact, that I wrote this story about Medium on Medium even though I plan to post it elsewhere.

And if you want a demonstration of how much nicer Medium is for reading, just compare how this article looks there compared to here on G+. There's no comparison.

I have been slacking on sharing #SaturdayScenes so let's start with this one.

Today's excerpt for #SaturdayScenes is short and sweet. From GRANDS, a short story from The Cities of Luna

The two friends watched their progeny for a while. Kellan spotted his wife Hazel hula-hooping with some of the girls, and it made him smile. Eighty-eight years old and she still moved like a teenager.

Their grandson returned with two pieces of cake, then left to referee some argument among the younger children.

“How many have you had?” Moriel asked, frosting already stuck to the tip of his nose.

Kellan motioned for his friend to use a napkin. “This is my third. Do you think anyone’s keeping track?”

“This is my fifth, so I’d say not,” said Moriel, mumbling through a mouth full of cake.

“Or they’re letting us get away with it…”

Moriel swallowed. “A conspiracy? To let us eat cake? I approve.”

“Or humoring us in our old age…”

“Who’s old?” Moriel snickered.

“Well, I am.” Kellan answered. “And if I am, you are.”

They were interrupted by an energetic little bundle of bobbing black curls who appeared out of nowhere. “Pop-up! I drew you a picture for your birthday!” Another great-granddaughter, about four years old, handed Kellan a piece of paper with brightly colored designs on it.

“And this one’s for you, Oom-pa-pa.”

They both examined their papers for a moment, until their great-granddaughter yelled “No! Wait!” They both froze, regarding the little girl with concern. She took both the papers back. “This one’s for Pop-up and this one’s for Oom-pa-pa.” They both breathed a sigh of relief and examined their personalized artwork, complimenting their great-granddaughter’s skill and thoughtfulness.

~*~

I like this excerpt, even though the SciFi aspect doesn't come through in this particular scene. That is part of what The Cities of Luna is all about... everyday life. It just happens to be on the Moon.

The series debuts next month! Then there will be a new short story every full moon. Look for them wherever you buy e-books.___I have been slacking on sharing #SaturdayScenes so let's start with this one.

The reaction to the most recent episode of Doctor Who makes me think I ought to write a post about the difference between "No plot" and "not the sort of plot I'm used to".

I knew people were going to react badly to the episode and there are legitimate issues with it, but most of the complaints I'm seeing have just failed to understand what was going on completely.

There is after all a huge difference between this is not the sort of Doctor Who I like and this is bad.

So you're probably aware of my urban fantasy serial The Wolves Of West Virginia due to my repeatedly mentioning it.

According to Google Analytics i got a visit to my blog from someone who wanted to know:

where do werewolves live in West Virginia

The answer, in case you were wondering, is Shepherdstown. And one of these days I should explain the origin of that claim.

Book Review: The Clockwork Giant by Brooke Johnson

Okay so this is a slightly unusual situation. I'm reviewing a book that won't be published until 2015, but it was published when I bought it. That's because the author self-published and then subsequently sold the book and a sequel to a major publisher.

That explanation out of the way let's talk about The Clockwork Giant by Brooke Johnson. It's a Young Adult novel with a steampunk setting and a heavy emphasis on romance. So this isn't going to be to everyone's tastes. But I think you should judge stories based on what they are aiming to be, not some universal constant ideal.

Authors are often reluctant to share unfinished work or early drafts. But it's something worth considering.

the much anticipated blog post about my experience with publicly sharing the first draft of Dark Lord in Training.

"As of writing this post, I’ve published eight chapters (and a preface!) of my in-progress novel Dark Lord in Training to Wattpad, a social media platform for readers and writers, in addition to posting snippets of scenes to Google+ for the #SaturdayScenes hashtag (about twenty scenes so far, if I’m not miscounting).
