Today is my 30th birthday, so I'm writing this letter to Google
I'm going to put all the jokes about my youth coming to a close aside and talk about something that I usually don't ever speak of. The wave of technology in the past couple decades has been amazing. I used a lite brite as a kid. Now 3 year olds are using iPads. We've reached whole new levels but have somehow managed to ignore people with disabilities who could really benefit from these advancements. I know we all want to create things for recreation, but how about helping some people out along the way.
Hearing disabilities are rarely ever talked about and if you watched that deaf girl hear for the first time on youtube about a year ago, you'd think that deafness had been cured once and for all. This has to be one of the hardest things I've ever done and it is so difficult to ask for help but I don't have a choice right now.
I haven't been able to work for quite a while now and due to this we are falling way behind on our mortgage. During the time I've been unemployed I have worked hard at learning photography with the hope that in time I might be able to sell some of my work.
I'm asking for the help of my friends to get through this very difficult time. I have many photos listed through Fine Art America and here on Google Plus. The prices are set at Fine Art America but I will offer my photos on Google Plus for $10.00 for a high quality file that you can print and frame yourself. Donations are also welcome. Fresh Snow on Mount Sopris
I love flying over Colorado, but this was a special treat. On this trip we flew just south of the area where I spent a lot of time when I was a kid. My favorite mountain in Colorado is Mount Sopris just outside of Carbondale. I noticed we were flying just south of Grand Junction. This was from the landscape that I recognized (I was on a 757 that had now video showing where you were). I had a great view of the cliffs and the city and was just barely able to see Grand Mesa. This got me really excited as I knew we were heading right towards Carbondale. I had been on a flight several years ago where we went north of Carbondale, so I wasn't sure if we were going to be north of the valley or south of it.
