Thank you so much to the wonderful soul who gifted this Inversion Therapy Table.

We got hit pretty hard by Hurricane Sandy and I so wanted to be able to do something useful and nice for my husband. He has a bad back and has been working non-stop  to try and cleanup and gut all the damaged ground floor of the house together with keeping his business running.

He never complains or even mentions it but I can tell his back has been giving him a great deal of pain with all the heavy lifting, carrying and bending etc he has been doing.
He was so completely lost for words, amazed and happy when this showed up (as was i!) and I explained to him about Secret Santa :-))))))
That's him in one of the rooms he has been busy gutting.

Tomorrow we're going to make a big announcement and I wanted to share my reasons for creating Secret Santa before then. Secret Santa is a display of community through gift giving - and not just for the people who can't afford a gift for themselves. It's amazing that we're able to give someone a Christmas who otherwise wouldn't have one, but I feel that this page is successful if it 1) brightens someone's holidays and 2) exhibits the compassion we, as people, have for each other.

I need your help...

First of all, please consider sharing this post to better my chances of getting the help I need. +1's are nice, but they won't help spread the word to those that might be willing to help me.

For those of you that don't know, my family has been going through a really rough patch lately. My husband has been out of work since July, when the company he gave the better part of his life to, over 25 years, shut down. Then he was hit by a car on Oct 4th, while looking for work.

He is currently unable to look for work while he is healing from his injuries, and I am having a lot of trouble finding work that I can physically do (I have my own share of health issues). We have no money for anything, not even the basic necessities of life like food and shelter.

Wanted for Xmas: Postcards from around the world.

When asked, my 16yo daughter Chelsea wants something simple for Xmas, however it is something that i am unable to give her easily.
YOU however can!

She would love to receive postcards from all over the world, preferably with a picture of some sort of where you come from or something that represents your country, so she can put it on her wall

Her goal in life is to travel to pretty much everywhere, and her interests are Archaeology and Anthropology, Sci-Fi,Doctor Who, Fringe, Canada, Reading, Learning, and most things geeky.

Important Shipping Information from Wishlists

In order for my elves to get their handmade presents to you, make sure you update your shipping address in your Amazon wishlist. Only your city and display name will be shown. Then, at checkout, make sure you ship to the gift to the gift address by changing the address. If their address is listed, it should be in the top right!

My amazing elves this year!

We're only a few days away from all the wishlists going live Monday! Soon people will begin sharing their wishlists to their streams with #GPlusSanta  and picking from the lists on the master list to give to.

To make sure all of that goes smoothly, I've enlisted the help of these amazing elves. They're the ones answering your questions, curating the lists, and highlighting your touching stories. Be sure to add them to your circles!

Secret Santa has over 200 lists already!

Woah! What a response! Looks like people are already in the giving spirit! Remember that the master list will go public November 19th. That's when you get to play Secret Santa and choose from the list who to give to or search for #GPlusSanta  and pick the lists others have shared. Last year we had 1,003 lists and I think we're on track to double that this year!

Secret Santa 2012 starts today!

HO HO HO! It's good to be back! Last year Secret Santa only lasted for less than a month and were able to collect over 1,000 lists! Your generosity and compassion giving gifts to the Google+ community made holidays better last year. SECRET SANTA - Time to Get Your Wishlist's Updated!

Yes, I plan far in advance for some things, and I wanted to remind everyone of one of the best things to ever happen on Google+ - last year's +Secret Santa program. It was amazing! Led by Santa's helpers +Carter Gibson and +Kyla Myers and +Stacey McKenna -- it was an awesome program to help others during the holiday season. I purchased my fair share of anonymous gifts and had a blast receiving all kinds of cool things! You will love participating and helping others - and hopefully it will be as addictive for you as it was for me!
